EMERSON H. MORGAN
Emerson H. Morgan, 79, of Valley View, died Tuesday in the Friendly Nursing Home at Pitman RD.
He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Survivors include five sons, Lester of the Friendly Nursing Home, Thomas of Valley View R. D; Melvin of New Britain; Arthur and Vernon Morgan, both of Valley View; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Wolfgang of Gratz, and Mrs. Alvin Moyer of Valley View; two brothers, Robert of Schuylkill Haven and Arthur Morgan of Hegins RD 1; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at 2 p. m. at the Evan. UB Church in Valley View. The Rev. Gordon W. Oplinger, his pastor, officiated. Burial was made in the adjoining church cemetery.5

SUDDEN DEATH AT VALLEY VIEW
Mrs. Annie A. Morgan, nee Shade 53, wife of Emerson Morgan of Sacramento died suddenly of a heart attack Saturday evening, while shopping in Valley View. She was removed to the office of Dr. H. S. Dunkleberger, where she was pronounced dead.
Mrs. Morgan was born at Gratz, a daughter of the Daniel and Lydia nee Runkle Shade and lived her lifetime in that section. She was a member of the Church at Valley View.
To survive besides her husband there are these children; Arthur and Herman of Hegins; Mrs. Russell Carl, Spring Glen; Vernon, Valley View: Thos.. Sacramento; Mrs. Alfred Morgan, Valley View and Lorraine and Lester at home.
There are six grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; John Shade, Valley View; Jacob, Harrisburg: Daniel, Elizabethville; Stanford, Berrysburg: Mrs. Homer, Matter, Valley View; Mrs. Clayton Snyder, Rough & Ready and Mrs. Clarence Meiser, Shamokin.
The funeral will be held from the H. E. Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, Wednesday morning.

Jean left us to go home with the Lord on February 6, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center.
Born on May 25, 1954, she was the daughter of Mardell S. Wiest and Jacob A. Walz, who preceded her in death.
Jean was a 1974 graduate of Shikellamy High School and a 1976 graduate of Central Pennsylvania Business College, where she earned an associate degree in accounting. She applied her education in her career at Weis Markets' office in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, until her retirement in 2020.
On October 20, 1979, she married her husband, Charles Ritzman, at the United Lutheran Church of Sunbury.
Jean was a kind and giving person, always willing to help anyone in need. Those fortunate enough to have known her can attest that she was a true angel on earth.
She loved animals and cherished spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, trying different restaurants, and was always up for a new adventure.
Jean is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles; her son, Bradley, and his wife, Emelie; her daughter, Kelly, and her husband, Jimmy Bowman; her sister, Peggy, and her husband, Tim Lagerman; her brother-in-law, Tom, and his wife, Carol Ritzman; and her grandchildren, Katie and Kaleb Bowman. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Timothy, Daniel, David, and Janeen Lagerman; Sarah and Matthew Benek; and Erin, Claire, and Natalie Turbo.
A viewing will be held at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 5–7 PM, and on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 10–11 AM at the United Lutheran Church, 167 Seven Points Road, Sunbury, PA 17801. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Northumberland Memorial Park.4 - She was buried on 14 February 2025, at Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, Northumberland County, PA.4
