William Austin Wiest was born on 2 April 1895, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.1,2 He was the son of Sylvester Schadel Wiest and Isabella S. Lesher. William Austin Wiest married Maude Mae Klinger, daughter of Alexander W. Klinger and Barbara Sedora Williard, in 1915, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.1 William Austin Wiest died on 12 September 1975, Pottsville Hospital, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 80.1,2

KLINGERSTOWN - William A. Wiest, 80, of Klingerstown, a retired farmer, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday in the Pottsville Hospital, where he was a patient for the past four days.
Mr. Wiest was. a life-long resident of Klingerstown. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown and the Klingerstown Fire Company.
Born in Klingerstown, April 2, 1895, he was a son of the late Sylvester and Isabelle Lesher Wiest. His wife, the former Maudie Klinger died in 1960. A daughter, Mrs. Daisy Miller died in 1966.
Survivors are the following children, Mrs. Tillie Williard, Charles Wiest and Billy Wiest, all of Klingerstown, Harry Wiest of Dornsife RD and James Wiest of Lykens; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Klinger of Lykens and Mrs. Nola Martz of Lebanon.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Michael's Lutheran Church. Klingerstown, with the Rev. Robert Eastlack officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the Lawrence E. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD Sunday evening.
There will be no viewing at the church on Mondav.

Clarence R. Williard also went by the name of Toll.3 He was born on 22 September 1916, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.1 He was the son of Samuel Morris Williard and Ida May Heitzman.2 Clarence R. Williard married Tillie Irene Wiest, daughter of William Austin Wiest and Maude Mae Klinger.1 Clarence R. Williard died on 3 July 1975, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 58.1

Lightning Strikes, Kills Schuylkill Contractor
MILLERSBURG - Clarence (Toll) Williard, 58, a Klingerstown contractor, was struck by lightning and i killed on Thursday, shortly before 3 p.m. He was working on the construction of a house at RD Millersburg when the storm hit the area. Mr. Williard was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Henry Hottenstein, of Millersburg. Deputy Coroner Dale Hoover of Millersburg released the body to the Lawrence E. Rothermel Funeral Home, RD Klingerstown.
Mr. Williard was a lifelong resident of Klingerstown. He owned and operated the Clarence Williard and Sons Contracting firm of Klingerstown since 1954. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
Mr. Williard was born Sept. 22, 1916, a son of the late Morris and Ida Heitzman Williard. He was married to the former Tillie Wiest at Leck Kill Oct. 27, 1934.
Surviving are his widow, four children, James L., of RD Klingerstown and Ray of Klingerstown; Arlene, wife of Mark Mace of RD Herndon and Lee of RD Dalmatia; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Howard of Klingerstown; [Allen of] Hummelstown and Roy of Williamstown; two sisters, Mrs. William Hoffman, RD Tower City and Mrs. Homer Daniel, RD Lykens.
Services will be held Monday morning from St. Michael's Lutheran Church, RD Klingerstown with Rev. Robert Eastlack officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Klingerstown. The Lawrence E. Rothermel Funeral home is in charge.

James L. " Jim" Williard, 69, of Ridge Road, Klingerstown, died Sunday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been a patient since Oct. 20. He had been in ill health since December 2003.
Born in Klingerstown, June 21, 1935, he was a son of the late Clarence R. "Toll" and Tillie I. Wiest Williard. He was a 1953 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School where he had been an outstanding baseball player.
He had owned and operated James L. Williard Contracting and retired in August 1996.
He was an accomplished pitcher and played various other positions on the Valley View American Legion Team and the former Klingerstown Town Team. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Klingerstown, and Mahantongo Fire Company, Pitman. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and enjoyed hunting and woodworking. He also loved to read, especially the Bible.
He was married on Sept. 15, 1956 to the former Kay V. Dietz.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters and spouses, Sharon and Brian Williams, Slatington, Susan Klouser, Valley View, and Janet Williard and Robert Rhody, Avis; two grandchildren, James and Brianne Williams; two brothers, Ray, Klingerstown, and Lee, RR1 Dalmatia; a sister, Arlene Mace, RR1 Herndon; nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held Wednesday at the convenience of the family at Salem United Church of Christ. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem UCC Church Memorial Fund, 1128 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, PA 17941, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 2 Gateway Center, 13 North, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Lee L. Williard was born on 26 November 1947, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2 He was the son of Clarence R. Williard and Tillie Irene Wiest. Lee L. Williard died on 18 February 2008, Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, Union County, PA, at age 60.2
DALMATIA - Lee L. Williard, 60, of RR1 Dalmatia, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, where he had been a patient since Feb. 14. He had been in ill health since July 2003.
He was born Nov. 26, 1947, in Klingerstown, a son of the late Clarence "Toll" and Tillie (Wiest) Williard. On May 17, 1986, he married the former Faith Haas Klinger, who survives.
Lee was a 1966 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School.
He worked with his brother, Ray, as Williard Bros. for 30 years as a carpenter.
Lee was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
He also was a member of the Klingerstown Fire Company and Woodmen of the World Lodge, Camp 433, Pitman.
Lee was a devoted father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson with his wife and best friends, Rick and Sharon. He also enjoyed hunting with his boys. He played softball for many years and also enjoyed camping.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Rich Beilharz of Northumberland; five sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Shane Williard of Herndon, Terry and Marla Williard of Klingerstown, Jerry and Heather Williard of Selinsgrove, Douglas and Trisha Klinger of Northumberland and Andy and Kiley Klinger of Montgomery; 11 grandchildren, Amy and Missy Beilharz, Dylan and Amanda Williard, Kyle Brosh, Jessamy James, Garrett Latsha, Alexis and Madison Williard, Payton Stutzman and Daniel Klinger; one sister, Arlene Mace of RR1 Dornsife; one brother, Ray Williard of Klingerstown; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Williard, on Oct. 31, 2004.
Visitors may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 by the Rev. Jan Mills.
Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Klingerstown.
