Marlene was born October 2, 1937 at Tower City, Pa. to the late Lester and Clara Hile Enterline. Marlene was preceded in death by a brother Russell Enterline, sisters Carol Mattern and Joyce Enterline. Funeral services will be held Monday October 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from the Lykens United Methodist Church, 527 North Second St., Lykens, Pa. with Rev. Lori Betsworth officiating. The Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax, Pa. John D. Morgan, 79, of Elizabethville, passed away Wednesday morning, June 29, 2022 at the home of his granddaughter, Pam Ott, with whom he resided.
Born in Valley View, June 24, 1943, a son of the late Homer and Helen Bixler Morgan.
John was a retired coal miner. He first started working in the mines as a young child at the age of 10, a job he held for over 63 years retiring at the age of 73. He was a survivor of the Porter Tunnel Mine Disaster is 1977.
In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and playing softball. Being surrounded by his family brought great joy to John. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Nettie A. Morgan, July 3, 2020; two children, John Jr. and Mary Morgan; five brothers, William, Paul, Ronald, Ray, and Homer Jr. Morgan; one sister; Shirley Wolf; an infant brother and sister.
Surviving are a son, Jeffrey Morgan, Gratz; Step-children, Harold "Butch" Stuppy (Ann Marie), Harrisburg, Gloria Stuppy, Lykens, Lucille Michaels (Charles Jr.) Wiconisco, Doris "Dot" Lewis (Craig), Elizabethville and David Stuppy, Kentucky; three brothers, Dennis "Nole" Morgan, Gordon, Dale "Checky" Morgan, Valley View, and Thomas "Blub" Morgan, Valley View; two sisters, Patricia "Girl" Neumeister, Branchdale, and Carol "Liz" Deitrich, Millersburg; 8 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren; Nieces and nephews.

Surviving are a son, Jeffrey Morgan, Gratz; Step-children, Harold "Butch" Stuppy (Ann Marie), Harrisburg, Gloria Stuppy, Lykens, Lucille Michaels (Charles Jr.) Wiconisco, Doris "Dot" Lewis (Craig), Elizabethville and David Stuppy, Kentucky; three brothers, Dennis "Nole" Morgan, Gordon, Dale "Checky" Morgan, Valley View, and Thomas "Blub" Morgan, Valley View; two sisters, Patricia "Girl" Neumeister, Branchdale, and Carol "Liz" Deitrich, Millersburg; 8 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren; Nieces and nephews.
A private Celebration of John's life will be held at the convenience of the family.

John David Morgan Jr., 7, son of John and Barbara (Miller) Morgan of 1241 W. Maple St., Valley View, died at noon yesterday in the Erie Infant Home and Hospital in Erie where he had been a patient two years. He was born April 16, 1963 in Pottsville. The family are members of Trinity Lutheran Church Valley View.
Surviving, in addition to the parents, are: A brother, Jeffrey, 6; the maternal grandfather, John D. Miller, Valley View; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer R. Morgan, RD1 Hegins and maternal great-grandfather, William Wiest.
Services will be Sunday afternoon at Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View. Rev. William W. Aightman, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.
