Marlin H. Kessler, age 46 years, died at his home at Erdman on Tuesday.
Mr. Kessler was a son of Charles E. and Meta (Paul) Kessler, and was born at Erdman| July 9, 1913. He was a member of Klinger's Lutheran Church, Erdman.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Irene Kessler, a daughter, Barbara, at home; a step-son, Richard Shade, of Rebuck; two grandchildren; his mother, one brother, Ralph C. Kessler of Erdman, and a sister, Mrs. Ford Leitzel of Klingerstown.
Services will be held from Klinger's Church at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon. Rev. Richard C. Jones will officiate and interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church. Arrangements are in charge of the Marlin S. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow.

VALLEY VIEW - Irene S. Kessler, 72, Valley View, died Sunday evening at the home of her son in Rebuck.
She was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church and the Rainbow Class, Lykens RD; Gratz Senior Citizens; and Tri-Valley Senior Citizens, Valley View.
She is survived by one son, Richard Shade of Rebuck; one daughter, Mrs. Carl Roadcap of Spring Glen; three sisters, Mary Shade of Gratz, Mrs. Beatrice Kline of Danville and Mrs. Carrie Kuhns of Valley View; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.
Her husband, Marlin, and one son preceded her in death.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Zion's Lutheran Church, Lykens RD, by the Rev. Walter L. Hater Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 this evening in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Zion's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Lykens RD.

James Lamar Kessler, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Kessler of Erdman, was fatally injured when struck by an automobile near his home early Saturday evening.
The accident, it was stated, occurred when the boy ran onto the highway in the path of the car, operated iby Herman R. Laudenslager of Herndon R. D. 1. State Police of the Lykens sub-station investigated the accident.
The child sustained fractures of the skull and right leg, and other injuries.
In addition to his parents, other survivors are a sister, Barbara Lee, a step-brother, Richard Shade, and his grandmother, Mrs, Meda Keasler, of Erdman.
Services were held from the residence at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning with further services in Klinger's Lutheran and Reformed Church at Erdman. Rev. Dr. D. I. Sultzbach, pastor of the Sacramento Lutheran Parish, officiated and interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Barbara L Roadcap, age 75, of Spring Glen, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg, Harrisburg.
She was born on Friday, May 4, 1945, in Erdman, a daughter of the late Marlin H Kessler and the late Irene S (Shade) Kessler.
She was a 1963 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School.
She had worked at Spread Eagle, Quaker State, and Sauder Egg Processing, and then worked for the PA Department of State until her retirement.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman.
She was also a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star #425 Lykens.
Barbara enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by two brothers, Richard Shade and Jimmy Kessler.
She is survived by her husband Karl K Roadcap, to whom she was married for 57 years.
She is also survived by two daughters, Diane L Bressler and her husband Jon of Fountain and Elaine M Henninger of Elizabethville; a son, Jeffrey K Roadcap and his wife Tammie of Elizabethville; grandchildren, Janie, Bryce, Ryan, Kelsey, Aidan, Cole, and Derrick; and several nieces and nephews.
A public viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View.
Due to the current COVID regulations, private family services will follow the viewing with Rev. Jonathan Jenkins officiating.

Ralph C. Kessler, 60, of RD Lykens, died Sunday at Millersburg Medical Center.
Mr. Kessler was born May 31, 1916 in Gratz, son of the late Charles and Meda Paul Kessler. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, RD Lykens, and the Valley View and Klingerstown Fire Companies.
Surviving are his widow, the former Louise Brown; one son, Richard C. Kessler, RD Lykens; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ford Leitzel, Klingerstown.

Richard C. Kessler, 58, of 1143 Erdman Road, Erdman, died Saturday in Millersburg.
Born Nov. 27, 1940 in RD Lykens, he was a son of Louisa Brown Kessler, Lykens, and the late Ralph C. Kessler.
He was a retired laborer for Novinger Inc., Harrisburg.
He attended Klingers Zion Lutheran Church and was a member of Erdmans Sportsman Association, RD Lykens.
Suriving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, the former Rena Wynn; three sons, Edwin, Millersburg, David K., Erdman, and Michael C., New York City; a grandson Joshua, and granddaughter Naomi, both of Millersburg.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Klingers Zion Lutheran Church.

Interment will be in Klingers Church Cemetery, Erdman.
