Mr. Kessler was a son of Charles E. and Meta (Paul) Kessler, and was born at Erdman| July 9, 1913. He was a member of Klinger's Lutheran Church, Erdman.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Irene Kessler, a daughter, Barbara, at home; a step-son, Richard Shade, of Rebuck; two grandchildren; his mother, one brother, Ralph C. Kessler of Erdman, and a sister, Mrs. Ford Leitzel of Klingerstown.
Services will be held from Klinger's Church at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon. Rev. Richard C. Jones will officiate and interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church. Arrangements are in charge of the Marlin S. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow.

VALLEY VIEW - Irene S. Kessler, 72, Valley View, died Sunday evening at the home of her son in Rebuck.
She was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church and the Rainbow Class, Lykens RD; Gratz Senior Citizens; and Tri-Valley Senior Citizens, Valley View.
She is survived by one son, Richard Shade of Rebuck; one daughter, Mrs. Carl Roadcap of Spring Glen; three sisters, Mary Shade of Gratz, Mrs. Beatrice Kline of Danville and Mrs. Carrie Kuhns of Valley View; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.

James Lamar Kessler, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Kessler of Erdman, was fatally injured when struck by an automobile near his home early Saturday evening.
The accident, it was stated, occurred when the boy ran onto the highway in the path of the car, operated iby Herman R. Laudenslager of Herndon R. D. 1. State Police of the Lykens sub-station investigated the accident.
The child sustained fractures of the skull and right leg, and other injuries.

She was born on Friday, May 4, 1945, in Erdman, a daughter of the late Marlin H Kessler and the late Irene S (Shade) Kessler.
She was a 1963 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School.
She had worked at Spread Eagle, Quaker State, and Sauder Egg Processing, and then worked for the PA Department of State until her retirement.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman.
She was also a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star #425 Lykens.
Barbara enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by two brothers, Richard Shade and Jimmy Kessler.
She is survived by her husband Karl K Roadcap, to whom she was married for 57 years.
She is also survived by two daughters, Diane L Bressler and her husband Jon of Fountain and Elaine M Henninger of Elizabethville; a son, Jeffrey K Roadcap and his wife Tammie of Elizabethville; grandchildren, Janie, Bryce, Ryan, Kelsey, Aidan, Cole, and Derrick; and several nieces and nephews.
A public viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View.
