Newspaper obituary:
SCOTT SCHEIB
It took Jesus 68 years, but He was finally prepared for Scott Scheib of Daytona Beach, FL on the morning of May 10, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.
Scott Scheib was born on January 6th, 1955 to Gloria Ann Miller and Clarence Scheib. He was a 1972 graduate of Tri-Valley High and studied Education at Flagler College in St Augustine, FL.
In 2010[,] Scott retired from the Pennsylvania Bureau of Revenue and followed his passion to Daytona Beach, FL where he spent his time searching the East coast for antiques. He had an eye for scanning a room and finding key pieces to a collection. He enjoyed his retirement years working at Magnolia House Antiques, making improvements to his home, hosting friends and family, cooking the most delicious meals and walking with his favorite girl, Camille, his French Bulldog.
Scott was a diva and a food critic, and he was never any good at sitting still. He was the fly in and fly out type. As a teenager that may have been by horse, probably an appaloosa and often without a saddle.
His love language was food. If he loved you, you were guaranteed a great home-cooked meal. He was once asked if his food was made with love and he responded, "all the love in the world, baby".
Scott was predeceased by his parents Gloria Ann Starr and Clarence Scheib, step parents Eugene Artz and Samuel Starr, and nephew Kyle McKoy. He is survived by his sisters Bonnie Stoner (Jeff) of Kingsport, TN and Terrie Ann McKoy (Brett) of Hagerstown, MD. His nieces and nephews, Candie Gilbert, Dan Stoner, Amy Stoner, Brieann Jones (Alex), Zach McKoy (Alexis), JD McKoy, Jaiquon McKoy, and Nikolas McKoy. Great nieces and nephews Zakarie, Zachary, Zaneatrius, Glorian, Chaiem and Reign Butler, Calien, Carsien and Camrien Jones and Aryia McKoy. Lastly, his lifelong friend, Patty Ney, his pup, Camille, and many other close knit friends who became family.
Per his request, no services will be held. If you'd like to toast to his life, please enjoy this drink he created last year which he coined, The Prissy Sissy. Equal parts Rum Chata (or substitute cream) and rootbeer, a splash of maraschino cherry juice and a cherry on top. Serve over ice and say, "we love you Scott" as you enjoy.
