Doris L. Bixler, 90, of Ash Street in Enola, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24th at Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence. She was born on October 1, 1925 in Orwin, PA to Lottie and Oliver S. Paul.
She is survived by her husband, David L. Bixler; daughter Patricia Martin and her husband Ronald; 2 sons, Daryl Bixler and his wife Carol, and David Bixler and his wife Marcia; 6 grandchildren: Sheri, Peggy, Ronald Jr., Wendy, Craig, and Dustin; 11 great grandchildren: Micaela, Kevin, Ryan, Morgan, Drew, Hunter, Tanner, Rylee, Annabella, Abigail, and Elleanor.She was preceded in death by three brothers: Donald, Robert, and James Paul.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing to be held Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, 29 S. Enola Drive, Enola, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. W. Keith Rockwell officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, following the service.

Bernice M. Schaffner, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
Born in Orwin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Vesta (Paul) Hand and was the widow of Ray M. Schaffner.
Bernice retired from Sears. She was a member of Harrisburg Cedarettes #43 and the Tall Cedars Merry Widows.
Surviving are a son Dennis R. Schaffner and his wife, Darlene of Millersburg; a daughter, Ann L. Gutshall and her husband, Dean of West Hanover Twp; three grandsons, Troy Gutshall and his wife, Tammy, Chad Gutshall and his wife, Megan and Colby Schaffner and a great-granddaughter, Emily Rae Gutshall.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Hoover Funeral Home, 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg. Rev. Jennifer Deutsch Thomas will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at St. Peters United Church of Christ Cemetery in Orwin. There will be a viewing on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tall Cedars Foundation, 2609 N. Front St., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
