  Michele L. Morgan, of Newport, passed away on July 29, 2026, in the comfort of her home, with her family by her side, at the age of 63.
  Born July 13, 1963, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Dennis G. and Georgine L. (Bohner) Wert, of Millersburg. Michele was the wife of Charles D. Morgan. Michele and Chuck shared a marriage that was a devoted partnership built on loyalty and shared purpose for over 37 years. She is also survived by her brother, Richard E. Wert, of Dauphin; aunts, Susan Slotterback and her husband, Allen, of Shamokin, and Diane Dettrey of Nevada; several nieces and nephews; and her extended family. Michele was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law, Wendy Alexander and Donna Wert.
  A graduate of Millersburg Area Senior High School, Michele continued to learn throughout her life and attended numerous classes and seminars to further her professional development in the insurance industry. Following high school, Michele began her career in the Recorder of Deeds Office for Dauphin County. Her sharp mind and dedicated work ethic ultimately led her to pursue a career in the insurance industry, where she found both challenge and success. She first worked for Penn National Insurance for 18 years, and later joined NORCAL Insurance Company. Her career began as an Investigator and grew to include numerous responsibilities, eventually culminating in her retirement as Manager of the Malpractice Claims Unit. She was known for her professionalism, her attention to detail, and her ability to handle each responsibility with care and integrity.
  Professionally, Michele was a member of the National Association of Insurance Women, now known as the International Association of Insurance Professionals, and she held several offices within the organization. Her leadership and commitment reflected the same dedication she brought to every part of her life. While she enjoyed great success in the insurance industry, her heart was always on the farm, where her roots and passions remained deeply grounded.
  Michele was a stockholder of the Gratz Fair Association, where she had been actively involved since the age of 12. She used her tremendous organizational abilities as the Superintendent of Agriculture Hall at the Gratz Fair, as well as at the Perry County Fair, where she assisted in the organization of the Exhibit Hall. She was also involved with the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs for many years and served as a certified judge at a number of county fairs throughout Pennsylvania. Her long-standing commitment to fair activities was a reflection of her love for agriculture, community, and the traditions that brought people together year after year.
  An accomplished photographer, Michele also took professional wedding photos, preserving treasured memories for families and couples with great care. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing, and over the years many of her creations and talents were displayed at the Gratz and Perry County Fairs, often earning her recognition for Best of Show. Her creativity, patience, and craftsmanship were greatly admired by all who knew her. Caring for others was always a priority for Michele. She loved cats and dogs and was devoted to the care and well-being of her parents, a reflection of the compassion and kindness that defined her character. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her quiet strength, and the many ways she enriched the lives of those around her.
  Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for her viewings on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at the Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, 325 North High Street, Duncannon. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

  She was of the Protestant Faith.
  She was predeceased by her first husband, Esrom Scheib in 1976; her second husband, Guy Bohner in 1993; a son, Dervis Scheib in 2000; a sister, Elsie Artz and a brother, Russel Artz.
  Surviving are her daughter, Charlotte J. Scheib of Stewartstown; 2 sons, Jerry W. Scheib of Halifax and Dennis L. Scheib of Williamstown; 1 brother, Leon Artz of Tower City; 1 sister, Evelyn Wagonseller of Florida; 17 grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren and greatgreat- grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., with a viewing from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Rev. Edward Gobrecht will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City R.D.

  Deb was a retired seamstress from the local garment industry.
  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Josiah Viera, 2018.
  Deb enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and spending time at the library. While a resident of Edenbrook, Deb was the president of Resident Council.
  Surviving are her husband of 52 years, G. David Bohner; three children, Lisa Martin (Paul II), Oklahoma, Jennifer Viera-Pysher (Elizabeth), Hegins, and James Bohner (Shelly), Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Kirstin and Caleb Martin, Daisha Viera, Christian and Wyatt Bohner, and Cassandra Soi.
  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home. A viewing will be held from 9-10 AM at the chapel. Following the service, Deb will be laid to rest in the Wiconisco Calvary Cemetery.
