Willard Kahler, 81, of Dornsife, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Hershey Medical Center.
Willard was born in Greenbrier, June 11, 1938, a son of the late Norman E. and Mildren S. (Mattern) Kahler.
He was employed as a meat cutter/manager at two ACME Markets retiring in 1999. After retirement he continued working at Whery Meats and Troutman Meats, both in Klingerstown. He was also a reflexologist.
Willard enjoyed woodworking, gardening, cooking and sudoku puzzles. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World Chapter 433 of Pitman.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Joyce (Jones) Kahler; three children, Debra Eisenhart and husband John of Middleburg, Sheila Deitrich and husband John of Hegins, and Ty Kahler and fiancée Heather Michael of Bellefonte, PA; two brothers Charles and Paul Kahler; as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his precious grandson, Aaron Deitrich and siblings, Guy and Roy Kahler and Barbara Snyder.

Joyce S. Kahler, 82, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove, PA.
She was born on April 8, 1941, in Pitman, PA, the daughter of John & Viola (Kline) Jones.
She attended Tri-Valley Schools and married Willard Kahler in 1959. They were long time residents of Dornsife.
She worked at Snyder's Greenhouse, Leck Kill, while raising her children, later working at various local factories.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Kahler, in 2020, and grandson Aaron Deitrich, in 2015, as well as brothers Harold and Ronald Jones, and sisters Marie Snyder, Arlene Clark, and Velma Zartman.
She is survived by daughters, Debra, and husband John Eisenhart of Middleburg; Sheila, and husband John Deitrich of Hegins; and son Ty Kahler and wife Heather, and step-grandson, Colson Michael, of Bellefonte; also a brother, Mark Jones, Sunbury.
She enjoyed her daily newspaper, reading Amish novels, shopping, and especially laughing with the ladies at Georgetown Heights, Dalmatia. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and fiesty personality.
Per the wishes of Willard & Joyce, there will be no service.
Burial will be made in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Leck Kill.

Aaron Cole Deitrich age 26, of 490 S Goodspring Road, Hegins, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on Friday, December 16, 1988, in Sunbury, a son of John R and Sheila L Kahler Deitrich.
He was a 2010 graduate of the Tri-Valley School District attending the Schuylkill IU 29.
He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins.
He enjoyed looking at car books, playing with key chains, painting and coloring, going out to eat and visiting Pappy and Tee.
Through his 26 years Aaron made the most of every opportunity presented to him, overcame challenges and had a bright outlook on life.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Alverta Deitrich and two aunts Rose and Sharon Deitrich.
He is survived by his parents John and Shelia and maternal grandparents Willard and Joyce Kahler of Dornsife; aunts and uncles, Deb Eisenhart and her husband John, Ty Kahler and his wife Krista, Carol Kukuk and her husband Jack, Patty Deitrich and Harvey Deitrich; as well as three cousins.
Services were held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., Valley View, on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 11 AM with Rev. Curtis Zemencik and Rev. Warren Egebo officiating.
A viewing was held from 10 to 11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.

Christine F. Copenhaver, 85, of Phoebe, Apartments, Allentown, died June 20 in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus. Sne was the wife of Ivan L. "Jack" Copenhaver, who passed away in 1985. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Ada (Fogel) King-Zeigler. She was a member of the Phoebe Ministries and a former member of Church of the Manger and Egypt Reformed Church, where she was a past Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the King's Daughters and the Order of the Eastern Star, Quakertown and Allentown. She was a former Girl Scouts leader. She was very active at Phoebe Home, including the church council, resident council and current activities coordinator.
Survivors: Daughter, Jane L., wife of Richard Fairley Sr. of Allentown; grandchildren, Lori A. Downey, Richard Fairley Jr; great-granddaughters, Rayma, Alise; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Donna M.
