Ernest C. Gottschall Buried At Pine Grove
Funeral services for Ernest C. Gottschall, former Pine Grove businessman, were held this afternoon from the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Pine Grove.
Gottschall, who for many years conducted a clothing store on S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, died on Friday morning at the Wernersville Stale Hospital. He was 54.
In more recent years, he was employed at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation.
His parents were the late Mr and Mrs. Charles Gottschall Pine Grove.
Surviving are a sister, Catherine Hartenstine, Pine Grove RD 3, and a brother, Stanley Poquoson, Va.
The Rev. John E. Youse, Pine Grove, officiated during the services. Burial was made in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, in that community.

Catherine I. Hardenstine, 102, of Pine Grove, passed away Sunday at Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Lebanon, Nov. 13, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Agnes Gottschall.
Grandma Catherine, as she was known, was the oldest member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. She was a member of the choir for more than 50 years, on church council, taught Sunday school and the Youth Group. One of her favorite things was helping with the clown ministry at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W Hardenstine, on Sept. 27, 1982; a son, Charles Wiley; two brothers, Ernest Gottschall and Stanley Gottschall.
Surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins and her loving church family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 312 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, with pastor Ken Melber and SALM John Ziegler officiating. There will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions in her memory be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, 312 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, PA 17963. H.L. POQUOSON-A funeral service for Stanley M. Gottschall, 59, of 350 Wythe Creek Road, Poquoson, who died Saturday in Dixie Hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home by the Rev. Lewis Morgan.
He was employed as supervisor of the parachute jump at Langley Air Force Base for 27 years.
Mr. Gottschall was past commander of the Hampton Roads Power Squadron, a member of the Langley Yacht Club, St. Tammany Masonic Lodge and St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Pallbearers will be Jack Kurtz, George Graham, Ernest Holloway. Daryl Harboys, Webb Ward, Jack Bentley, Sam Hutchinson and William R. Messick.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.

He was a member of Bridgeville Bethany Presbyterian Church. He was home on leave only two weeks ago.
He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Johnson, and a brother, Robert Allen Johnson, all of 1082 Sarah Street, Bridgeville.
