    RETIRED MALTA FARMER DIES
    William Landis Koppenhaver, retired farmer of Dalmatia R. D., died at his home Thursday, July 13. at 3:05 p. m. of complications following a lingering illness of several years duration, dating from a stroke. He had been bedfast four weeks.
    The deceased, aged 69 years, was born Nov. 12, 1874, son of John and Hannah Moyer Koppenhaver, natives of Dauphin county, and was a lifelong resident of Lower Mahanoy Township, having resided near Malta. He was a member for 54 years of the Malta Reformed Church, and active in all of its affairs up to the time of his illness. He was held in high esteem throughout the community.
    Surviving are his widow, nee Cora Madora Snyder; three daughters, Mrs. Alva Zerbe, Dalmatia, R. D; Mrs. Nevin Harris, Elizabethville R. D and Mrs. Charlies Long, of Dalmatia; one brother, George Koppenhaver, of Cherryville, Pa., and two sisters, Mrs. Maurice Bohner, Dalmatia, and Mrs. Monroe Phillips, Herndon, R. D. An infant son died many years ago.
    Funeral will be held from the Edwin W. Hoover funeral home at Dalmatia Sunday at 2:30 o'clock with further services in the Malta Reformed Church, Rev. Elmer Dech, of Pillow, officiating. Burial will be in the Malta Church cemetery.
    Friends may view the body Saturday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.

    Mrs. Cora Madora Koppenhaver, Dalmatia R.D., died Wednesday morning in Danville Hospital following an illness of six months. She was 76.
    Mrs. Koppenhaver was born November 19, 1874 in Jackson Tiwnship and had been a life long resident of Dalmatia R.D. She was the daughter of the late Alexander Snyder and Elizabeth Holshue Snyder. She was a member of the Malta Reformed Church.
    Survivors include her husband, William Landy Koppenhaver; three daughters, Mrs. Alva Zerbe and Mrs. Charles Long, Dalmatia R.D., the latter with whom she resided, and Mrs. Navin Harris, Berrysburg; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Snyder, Dalmatia R.D., and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Grimm, Dalmatia R.D.
    Services will be held Saturday at 10 a. m. from the Hoover funeral home at Dalmatia with further services in the Reformed church, Malta. Rev. Richard Schellhase, pastor, will officiate and interment will be in the Malta cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
