    Knorr Rites
    The funeral of Melvin R. Knorr, 61, of RD Klingerstown, who died at 7:28 Wednesday morning at Pottsville Hospital where he was admitted Nov. 6, will be held Sunday afternoon from the Zion Lutheran Church, RD Lykens. The. Rev. Robert Johnson, his pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
    Mr. Knorr, who had been in failing health since July, was a self-employed machinist and welder. He was born June 4, 1912 at RD Klingerstown and was the son of the late Cyrus and Amanda Troutman Knorr. He was a member of Zion Lutheran dhurch and the Klingerstown Fire Company.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Orpha an unknown person essler; five daughters, Gloria, wife of George Phillips, York; Romaine, wife of Marvin Dietrich, and Shirley, wife of Kenneth Brosius, both of RD Klingerstown; Judi Palmyra, N.J; Sandra, at home; one sister, Carrie, wife of Clarence Herb, RD Klingerstown.

    ALLISON C. MAURER
    Allison C. Maurer, age 47 years, president of the Hazel Milk and Ice Cream Co., of Hazleton, died in a Hazleton hospital Saturday, following a brief illness.
    Mr. Maurer was a native of Mahantongo Valley. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, of Rough and Ready; Herndon Lodge, F. and A. M and Irem Temple, Lehigh Consistory.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sadie Dietz Maurer; two children, Ray and Lillian, of Hazleton; Mr. and Mrs. William Maurer, of Klingerstown R. D; and three brothers, Pvt. Wellington Maurer, of the Army; and Elwood and Walter Maurer, of Klingerstown R. D.
    Funeral services were held from the residence in Hazleton Wednesday afternoon. Rev. F. S. Blank, of Leck Kill, officiated, and interment was made at Rough and Ready.
