MRS. STELLA M. PAUL
Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Stella M. Paul, 78, of 212 N. Pine St., Tremont in Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, with the Rev. Robert Logan officiating. Interment was in Gratz Union Cemetery with Reed Funeral Home of Pillow in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Paul died early Wednesday, March 21, in Pottsville Hospital where she had been admitted February 21 suffering with a fractured hip following a fall at her home.
A native of Gratz and a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, she moved to Tremont in 1956 where she resided with her brother-in-law, Frederick Klinger.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Viola Buffington and Anna Lou, wife of John Miller, both of Gratz; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

GRATZ -- Janice Mae Buffington, 50, Gratz, died Friday at Polyclinic Hospital.
She was born in Gratz May 5, 1938, the daughter of Viola Buffington of Gratz and the late Robert Buffington.
She was a member of Simeon's Lutheran Church, Gratz.
She served as a dispatcher for the Gratz Area Ambulance Association.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Simeon's Lutheran Church, Gratz, by the Rev. Barry Ridge. Burial will be in Gratz Union Cemetery.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the church.
Funeral arrangements were made by the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow.

GRATZ - John H. Miller, 69, Market Street, died Friday, March 16, 1990, at home.
He was born Dec. 19, 1920, in Pillow, the son of the late Harry and Jennie (Wiser) Miller.
He was a member of the Simeons Lutheran Church, Gratz; the Gratz Fire Company; Pillow Fire Company; Lykens Township VFW Post 2385; Steever R. Day American Legion Post 326, Millersburg; and Dauphin County Volunteer Firemen Association.
He retired as a cook at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lebanon.
In addition to his wife, Anna Lou (Paul) Miller, he is survived by two daughters, Bonita Ramer of Milton and Cathie Wilkinson of Elizabethville; one sister, Lula Koppenhaver of Sunbury; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p m. Tuesday at Simeons Lutheran, Church by the Rev. Barry Ridge. Burial will be in Gratz Union Cemetery.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church.
