Former Irish Valley Resident Expires
Alexander S. Williams, 69, formerly of Irish Valley, died last evening at 7:30 in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Noll, 1698 West Wood Street. He was living with his daughter for the past two months.
Williams lived nearly all his life in Irish Valley. His wife, Mrs. Tillie (Kline) Williams, died 30 years ago.
Surviving are the following children: Charles, John and Robert, Harrisburg; Mrs. Chester Fisher and Mrs. Clarence Herb, South Williamsport: Mrs. Bessie Querry, Shickshinny, and Mrs. Charles Noll, Shamokin. Several sisters and grandchildren survive, also.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon, beginning at 1:30, in Wirt Funeral Home, Cliftmont, east of Sunbury. Burial will be in Shamokin Cemetery. Viewing will be in the Wirt Funeral Home tomorrow evening and Wednesday until time of the funeral.

Neva was born Oct. 22, 1923 in Hebe, Dauphin County.
She was the wife of the late Frederick Wetzel, who preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1998.
Mrs. Wetzel was employed by AT&T telephone company and also by various dress factories.
She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Shamokin. Neva enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Frederick W. and Elsie Wetzel, of Newport; two grandchildren, Lisa Horting and her husband, Kim, and Kenneth Wetzel and his wife, Deborah; three great-grandchildren, Joshua LeMaster and his wife, Rachelle, and Collan and Cameron Wetzel, and two great-great-grandchildren, Chase and Shelby LeMaster.

Charles J. Hollenbach, 50, of Cressona, died early this morning at Rest Haven, Schuylkill Haven, where he resided for 2 1/2 weeks.
Born in Shenandoah, July 30, 1941, he was a son of Anna Shaulis Hollenbach, of Shenandoah, and the late Harry Hollenbach.
He was employed by the Schuylkill County Courthouse as a second deputy in the prothonotary's office until retiring in June.
He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Glover's Hill Gun Club, Shenandoah.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Edward and John.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, the former Kay Erdman, to whom he was married for 22 years; two daughters, Stacy Laubenstine, Auburn, and Mary, at home; two sons, Troy and Joseph, both at home; two brothers, Frank and Harry, both of Shenandoah; four sisters, Anna Stine and Jean DeLuca, both of Shenandoah, Shirley Meahs, Quarry, and Joanne Andrews, Maryland; two grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon Thursday from Ebling Funeral Home, Cressona. The Rev. Frederick Fisher will officiate. Interment will be in St Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Summer Hill.
