Daniel S. Zartman, 61, Herndon, died Friday afternoon en route to Sunbury Community Hospital. Mr. Zartman had been in fairly good health until the time of his attack at his home yesterday. Time of death was about 12:30 p.m.
He had just returned home Thursday evening from a two week motor trip. A son of Jay C. Zartman, Red Cross, and the late Vesta Erdman Zartman, he was born at Dornsife RD, Aug. 19, 1907.
A resident of Herndon for four years, he formerly resided at Red Cross. He was a member of Mahanoy Lodge IOOF Herndon Lodge F&AM 702, Harrisburg Consistory, and St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross.
Survivors include his father; his widow, the former Mabel Smeltz; one son and two daughters. Gene, Sunbury RD1; Ellen wife of Elbert Lenker, Wilmington, Del; and Oleta, wife of G. Edward Shissler, Stillwater, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; two brothers, J. Fred Zartman and Clarence W. Zartman, both of Herndon; three sistersr, Mrs. Earl Williams, Valley View; Mrs. Clarence Snyder, Klingerstown; Mrs. Mary Barnhart, of Millersburg.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Rothermel funeral home, Herndon. The Rev. Irvin Straw, his pastor, will officiate. Burial will be made in Red-Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday evening.
Members of Mahanoy Lodge IOOF will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Monday at 8 p.m. They will also serve as pallbearers.

She is survived by one son, Gene of Selinsgrove; two daughters, Oleta Calvert of Tulsa, Okla., and Ellen Lenker of Wilmington, Del; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd Smeltz and Richard Smeltz, both of Herndoh RD and Andrew Smeltz of Washington; and a companion, Earl Oxenrider of Herndon RD2.
A son, Carl, died in 1936.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's , Lutheran Church, Red Cross, by the Rev. Glen B. Keidel. Burial will be in tltechurch cemetery.

Wilmington- Delbert E. Lenker, 87, passed away surrounded by family in the early hours of Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Christiana Hospital.
Delbert was born on February 18, 1934, in Dalmatia RD Pennsylvania. He was the son of Stanley and Susan (Phillips) Lenker. He graduated from Mahanoy Joint High School in Dalmatia, PA in 1952. Delbert was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to his service in the Air Force, he owned a farm until 1966, at which time he joined Dupont, retiring in 1991. Delbert was a lifelong member of the American Legion and an active member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church for over 55 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling across the United States, and tinkering with multiple home projects.
Delbert is survived by his loving wife, Ellen (Zartman) of 68 years. He will be deeply missed by his wife and their three sons, Bryan, Dwayne, and Dale (Andrea), and four grandchildren, Dan, Andrew, Kelly, and Kerri. He is survived by his brother, Stuart (Lois) Lenker, brother-in-law, Gene (Charlotte) Zartman, sisters-in-law, Oleta (Dan) Calvert, Deb Lenker, and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by an infant daughter, his parents, his wife's parents, Daniel and Mabel Zartman, his sister Marjorie (Bill) Snyder, and brother John Lenker.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, June 19th at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 5320 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808, where a service will follow. Bryan E. Lenker, 65 of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, May 14, 2023.
Bryan was born on July 30, 1957 in Danville, PA to Ellen (Zartman) Lenker and the late Delbert Lenker. His former wife, Lynn (Alphin) Lenker preceded him in death.
Bryan graduated in 1975 from Conrad High School. Bryan worked for ICI/Croda as a Chemical Operator and retired after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union, LU12886.
Bryan was married to Lynn Lenker for 23 years. Together they had two children. Bryan was a loving father. He enjoyed spending time with family and was a passionate outdoorsman and enthusiast. He spent most of his retirement boating, fishing, and hunting. He was a loving support to his mother, Ellen.
Bryan is survived by his sons, Daniel of Columbia, SC and Andrew of Middletown, DE; mother, Ellen Lenker of Wilmington, DE; brothers, Dwayne of Downington, PA and Dale (Andrea) of Wilmington, DE; nieces Kelly (Kenney Seltzer) and Kerri (Anthony Saldutti).
Service and visitation will be held at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 5320 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808 on Saturday May 27, 2023 with a visitation from 12:00-1:00 and a service 1:00 pm.
Burial will be at a later date in Stone Valley, PA.2
He was buried at Stone Valley Cemetery, Hickory Corners, Northumberland County, PA.2,4
