  Joan L. Kokinda, 87, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest Location. Born in Lykens, PA, on May 14, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Amor L. and Grace (Hand) Cunningham. She was the wife of James J. Kokinda, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage with. She was a graduate of Porter Township High School, Class of 1954. After graduation and marriage, she worked as the medical secretary of Dr. Masonheimer. But above all, Joan’s top priority was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother for her family. In her spare time, she loved golfing, playing cards, caring for her pets, and spending time in nature.
  In addition to her husband James, Joan is survived by her children, Timothy Kokinda (Cindy) of Darnestown, MD, Robin Robertson (William), of Breiningsville, PA, Jeffrey A. Kokinda (Christine) of Mertztown, PA, grandchildren, Hannah Kokinda, Kelly and Brooke Robertson, and Emily Kopp, great-grandchildren Grayson and Willow Kopp
  Services on Monday, November 27, 2023, have been postponed. Information will be provided when services are rescheduled. Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

  James J. Kokinda, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest Location. Born in Beaver Meadows, he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Molnar) Kokinda. He was the husband of the late Joan (Cunningham) Kokinda, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage prior to her death earlier this year. Jim was a graduate of Penn State University. After graduation, Jim eventually ended up at Air Products Chemical Company where he worked for many years as a mechanical designer. In his spare time, Jim was an avid golfer. He also loved learning about history and being outside in nature. However, his two top priorities in his life were his faith and his family. He was a devout Christian and a long-time member of St. Catharine’s R.C.C., Allentown, PA. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending as much time with his family as possible and never missed any of their events.
  James is survived by his children, Timothy Kokinda (Cindy) of Darnestown, MD, Robin Robertson (William), of Breinigsville, PA, Jeffrey A. Kokinda (Christine) of Mertztown, PA, grandchildren, Hannah Kokinda, Kelly and Brooke Robertson, and Emily Kopp, great-grandchildren Grayson and Willow Kopp, sister Martha Kokinda Beline. He was predeceased by his siblings, Eugene Kokinda, Lois Polansky, and Maryellen Simchak.
  A mass of Christian Burial for Jim and Joan will be held Monday, December 18th, 2023 at St Catharine of Siena R.C.C., 18th and Turner Sts., Allentown, PA 18104, at 11:00 AM. A calling hour will be held prior to mass from 10-11. Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.²

  William A. Hawk Josephson 79, of Macungie, formerly of Allentown, passed away on April 18, 2005 surrounded by his loving family in Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. He was the husband of Georgie L. (Cunningham) Josephson. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Carl H. and Clara J. (Johnson) Josephson and the brother of the late Pauline Peterson. He was a graduate of Titusville High School in 1943, where he played varsity football, basketball and baseball. He then went on to Kiski Prep and graduated with a bachelors degree in physical education from Huron College in South Dakota, where he continued his athletic participation in football, baseball and basketball. He was a World War II veteran, proudly serving his country in the 5th Division of the Marine Corps in Iwo Jima. He was employed by Air Products and Mack Trucks Inc. for 24 years as a foreman retiring in 1986. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a former scoutmaster at the church. He was a member of Jordan-Martin Masonic Lodge 673, Scottish Rite Mason in the Valley of Allentown, and also a Shriner, as a member of Irem Temple. He was an avid Penn State fan and a member of the Penn State Alumni Association. He also was an avid fisherman and was a member of the Tri-Boro Sportsmen Association and Slatington Skeet Club. Survivors: Wife; son, Michael Josephson and his wife, Sandy, of Slatington; daughters, Jane Josephson of Bethlehem, Jill Krause and husband, Mike, of Allentown; three granddaughters, Sonya, Taylor and Kristin, whom he loved dearly. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday in Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown.   Larry Arthur Salada, 70, avid OU fan and Trump supporter, passed into Heaven’s pearly gates on March 6, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on December 18, 1946 in Harrisburg, PA to Herbert Arthur and Georgie (Cunningham) Salada.
  He was very knowledgeable about the Bible and loved having discussions with his sisters. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music and attending concerts, casinos and loving on his cat, Wyatt. Occasionally you could find him indulging in his favorite foods, shrimp, Blue Bell Ice Cream, cinnamon candies and Pepsi. He had a smile that we will always be remembered by his family. He worked 35 years at Tinker Air Force Base.
  Larry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Bradley Herbert Salada, and Lori Lee Jackson. Survivors include his children, Sean Ryan Childers (Tara), Zac Boomer Salada; grandchildren, Chase Salada Childers, Camryn Claire Childers and Mariska Gayle Salada; siblings, Lois Rogers (Jeci), Becky Stone (Mark Edmonds); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.
  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel .Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com.²
