    MILLERSBURG - The funeral service for Russell P. Renn, 68, of 675 Union St, who died Tuesday at his home, will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m.
    The Rev. Vincent R. Eshelman of Trinity United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Riegle Funeral Home, Millersburg, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

    Mr. Renn was a retired foreman for the Penn Central Railroad; a veteran of World War I; a member of the Steever R. Day American Legion Post; Harrisburg Consistory; Susquehanna Lodge 364 F&AM; Zembo Shrine of Harrisburg; Tall Cedars of Lebanon and Millersburg Forest 125.
    He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eva G. Renn, and a brother, C. Clyde Renn of Elizabethville.

    Born in Hebe, he was a son of the late Allen and Ruth Faye Troutman Schlegel. He graduated from Hegins Township High School.
    He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955.
    He received his bachelor's degree in math from Penn State University and studied for his master's and doctorate degrees at University of Delaware.
    He was a mathematician at Aberdeen Proving Grounds and taught math at Essex Community College and Towson State University.
    He was a member, elder and treasurer of Grove Presbyterian Church, Aberdeen.
    He was involved with the American Association of Retired Persons Tax program, and was acting director of Hartford Hospice.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Marion A. Gomberger, three sons, Eric, Indian Head, Md., David, Lynchburg, Va., and Kurt, Aberdeen; a brother, Max A, Valley View; two sisters, Geraldine Brubaker and Josephine Lenker, both of Valley View.
    A memorial service was held at Grove Presbyterian Church.

    Millerburg Man Killed In Crash
    Melvin N. Schreffler, 40, of State Street, Millersburg, died Saturday at the Lee Hospital in Johnstown, from injuries suffered in an accident with a steel truck at 3:55 a.m. Saturday on Route 22 at Armagh, Indiana County.
    The truck he was driving was loaded with steel and ran into the rear of a cement truck. The truck was owned by James Snyder, Herndon, R.D. 1, and Schreffler was one of the drivers he employed.
    Police have been unable to de termine what caused Schreffler's truck to ram the rear of the first rig. Schreffler died within two hours of the accident and investigators were unable to question him. He suffered head and chest injuries. Schreffler was enroute west on Route 22 at the time of the accident.
    He was a member of Himmel's Lutheran Church, Rebuck, and was a member also of Valley View Fire Company.
    Son of Ida Snyder Schreffler, of Rebuck, and the late Harry Schreffler, he was born at Leck Kill, April 17, 1924.
    In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Violet Wiest Schreffler and three children, Cleon, Carol, arid Donna all at home. Also surviving are three brothers, Marlin, of Rebuck; Paul, of Millersburg, and Earl, of Leck Kill.

    Funeral services for Pfc. Cleon L. Schreffler, 20, of State Street, Millersburg, who was killed in Vietnam on May 3, will be held Wednesday at p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Millersburg, with the pastor, Rev. James E. Enerick, officiating. Burial will be in Himmel's Church Cemetery at Rebuck. Military services will be by personnel from the New Cumberland, Army Depot.
    Pfc. Schreffler was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and prior to entering the Army in February of 1966 he was employed as a machinist for Keystone Reamer Works. He attended - MuIersburgT High School-rand was serving in an engineering battalion at the time of his death in Vietnam to which he was assigned in October of 1966.
    Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Violet M. Schreffler; two sisters, Carol and Donna, both at home and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ida Schreffler of Leck Kill.
