• William Dietrich died on 26 May 1944, Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA, at age 61.⁴

  WILLIAM W. DIETRICH
  William W. Dietrich, 61, well-known merchant of Wiconisco, passed away Friday, May 26th, at 12 noon at a Harrisburg hospital following a seven month's illness of complications.
  Mr. Dietrich was born in Carsonvillle, March 4, 1883 and resided in Wiconisco for the past fifty years. He was the son of the late Isaac and Sarah Dietrich. He was united in marriage to Estella Esterline on March 31, 1907.
  He is survived by his wife and four daughters: Mrs. Bessie Trox-ell, Mrs. Edna Thompson, Mrs. Lillie Zellers, Mrs. Carrie Usuka, all of Wiconisco; seven sons, Eugene, Wiconisco; George, Tower City; William, Valley Vitw; Eric, Wiconisco; Robert, U. S. Army, Alaska; Holden, U. S. Army, Aleutian Islands; Harold, at home. Twenty-one grandchildren; his step-mother, Mrs. Agnes Dietrich, of Wiconisco; two brothers, James, of Windber; Carl, of Wiconisco; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Foster, of Berwick; Miss Sarah Dietrich, of Harrisburg; two half-sisters and four half-brothers also survive.
  Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his home with the Rev. W. J. Friday in charge, assisted by the Rev. L. H. Yergey, of Bethlehem.
  Burial was made in the Wiconisco Cemetery.
