Mrs. Sadie M. Adams. 63, of Sunset Lake Rd., Newark, Delaware, died Saturday enroute to St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, Delaware.
Born February 11, 1908, at Tower City, she was a daughter of Albert and Jennie Shomper Carl.
She is survived by her husband Nicholas; two daughters, Mrs. Phyliss Whelchel and Mrs. Janet Yost, both of Newark, Del; two sons. Gene of Wiconisco and Gary of Newark; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Shomper, Williamstown RD; Mrs. Ethel Troutman and Mrs. Mary Miller, Muir; one brother Clair of Tower City. There are 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from Stewart J. Dreisigacker Funeral Home. The Rev. Lawrence Gill of West Baptist Church, Newark, Del., officiated. Burial was made in Greenwood Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Barbara(Koppenhaver) Adams and 2 Daughters, Kathy Garner of Port Charlotte, Florida and Beth Anne Stuppy of Lykens; 2 Sons, Tim Adams of Wiconisco and Tracey Adams of Pillow, their spouses; 6 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Scott David, 1 brother, Gary and 2 sisters, Phyllis and Janet.
He was a retired trucker from HM Felty Inc., PineGrove. He graduated from the Porter Township school and was a member of the Williamstown American Legion, the Wiconisco Fire House and a life member of the Gratz V.F.W.. Gene was a U.S. Army veteran of W. W. II, serving with General Patton's 3rd Army in the European theatre. He was a veteran of the Invasion of Normandy, entered Cherbourg France on his 18th birthday, fought for the liberation of Paris, was in the Battle of the Bulge, and fought against one of "Hitler's last strongholds" in Aachen, Germany.
Nick will be sadly missed by family and friends. Memorial Services will be held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 11:00 A.M.. Military Honors will conclude the services. Inurnment at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received 10-11 A.M., Thursday, March 20 the funeral home.3 - He was buried at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, PA.3

Howard A. “Buddy” Adams, Jr., 91, of Williamstown, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born July 1, 1933, in Williamstown to the late Howard A. and Eva Clark Watkeys Adams Sr. Buddy was a graduate of Williamstown High School and was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War.
He was employed by Bell Atlantic which then became AT&T. Buddy was a life member of the American Legion Post 239 and the VFW Post 6497, both in Williamstown. He was a member of the previous Wesley United Methodist Church, Wiconisco, and was a previous Cub and Boy Scout leader for many years. Buddy enjoyed gardening, traveling, and camping.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years, Betty C. Wasson Adams; a sister, Ruth Lubold.
Buddy is survived by his second wife, Brenda Wolfgang Jones, and her son, Derek (Karla) Jones; nieces, Bonnie (Tim) McGuire and Lori (Joe) Cardaro; cousins, Cindy (Dale) and family, Lois, and Rick (Kathy); many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 10 -11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in the Dimon Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 644 E. Grand Ave., Tower City. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:00 AM with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating.
Buddy will be laid to rest privately with Betty in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Buddy to Williamstown American Legion, 123 W Market St., Williamstown or the Williamstown EMS, P.O. Box 74, Williamstown, PA 17098.

HALIFAX • Ruth L. Lubold, 72, of 35 Galli Road, died Friday, September 5, 2003 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born in Williamstown, the daughter of the late Howard and Eva Watkeys Adams, Sr.
She was a member of Halifax United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Blair J. Lubold; two daughters, Debbie Hess and her husband, Lynn of Halifax and Dawn Dove and her husband, Monroe of Palmyra; a brother, Howard Adams, Jr. of Williamstown; grandchildren, Bob, Mindy, Jon, Jayson, Megan, Allison and three great- grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2003, at Halifax United. Methodist Church, 105 Wind Hill Drive, at 2 p.m. Viewing will be from 1-2 p.m., Monday, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church.

Mary C. Adams, 57, of Beaver Brook Apartments, 550 S. Du Pont Highway, died Wednesday at Delaware Division after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband, Robert J; two sons, Robert of West Chester, Pa., and Ronald of Chester, Pa; a daughter, Ellen Hannigan of Rolling Meadows; a sister, Louise Zakrzewski of Beaver Brook Apartments; two half brothers, James Rogers of Beaver Brook Apartments and Robert Sheats of Red Lion, and six grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware St., New Castle, where friends may call tonight at 6:30. Burial will be in Gracelawn Cemetery.
