    Jennifer Caron, 43, of Rockford, passed away on August 1, 2018. She was born on June 8, 1975 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Gary and Gertrude (Tucker) Caron. She married Douglas Gish on October 10, 2010, at the top of the CN Tower in Toronto. Jennifer was a USA Figure Skating Coach. She attended York University in Toronto where she majored in finance and economics. Her passion was teaching kids to skate. She was a member of Team Canada "Black Ice", a synchronized skating team. Jennifer was a 1997 World Champion, Silver and Bronze Medalist, and had several Canadian National titles. She was a former coach for Northwestern University and Illinois State University, and owned Revolution Synchronized Skating which won 16 ISI National titles. Coaching was her life, she loved and believed in all the kids she coached. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Gish, son, Tucker; stepson, Carter; parents, Gert and Gary Caron; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Marty Gish; brother, Jeremy (Kris) Caron; nieces and nephews, Joshua , Nicholas, Grace, Michaela, Ian, Cameron, and Cheynee; sisters -in -law, Lynne (Mike) Olsen, and Carol Cook. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 11, 2018 in First Free Church, 2223 N. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL. A tribute video will be at 10:15 am.     Cleona - Galen Eugene Frantz, age 86, of Cleona, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 6, 2021.
    He was born on July 25, 1934, in Millbach Springs, Berks county, Pennsylvania, to Naomi Heisey Frantz and Irwin Hoffer Frantz. He graduated from Bethel High School, and he married Nancy Bender on August 2, 1952. For his livelihood, Galen worked as a machinist and repaired small engines. He also owned and operated Frantz Maytag in Lebanon. His hobbies included reading, woodworking, metalworking, gardening, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family.
    Galen is survived by his wife, Nancy, and children: Galen Frantz II (Carol), Gregory Frantz (Mandy), Andrea Schwalm (Randy), and Pamela Emery (Gary); seven grandchildren: Jeff and Bekki Schwalm; Lydia, Daniel, and Holly Frantz; and Rachel and David Emery (Tessa); two great-grandchildren: Tristan and Paxton Schwalm.
    He is also survived by siblings Esther Boleyn (Lester), Barbara Kalke (Wilhelm), Richard Frantz (Beatrice) and Dorothy Dix (John).
    A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

    Mary J. Curcio, 93, a resident at The Pavilion at Saint Luke Village, Hazleton, and formerly of both Hazleton and West Hazleton, was called home by the Lord while a patient in the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
    Born in Harwood on Sept. 13, 1921, she was the daughter of Andrew Nahay (Nahaj) and Katarini Sivar.
    Mary was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Hazleton.
    Prior to her retirement, Mary worked in the dietary department of the Hazleton State General Hospital. Mary loved being with and caring for her family; holiday time was especially special.
    Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Anthony Peter, in 1974; brothers, John, Joseph, George, Michael, Andrew, and Edward; sisters, Margaret Pyck, Elizabeth (Betty) Ferdinand and Catherine Troy.
    Surviving are her sons, Maurice and wife Lois, Kissimmee, Fla; Anthony and wife, Cheryl, Hazleton; grandchildren, Marc and wife Alena, Barcelona, Spain; Karen and husband, Bob Boley Tabor City N.C; Kristen and husband, Michael Cuffley Pasadena, Md; Lea Curcio, Annapolis, Md; great-grandchildren John and Robert Boley Virginia; Anton and Lucia Curcio, Barcelona, Spain; great-great granddaughter, Aliah Boley Virginia; brothers, Benedict Nahay and wife, Marie, Harwood; Emery Nahay and wife, Rose Marie, San Bruno, Calif; sisters-in-law, Lola (Mrs. Andrew) Nahay Harwood; Virginia (Mrs. Angelo) Curcio, Florida; and Violet (Mrs. Morris) Curcio, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
    Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Fierro Funeral Home, 26 W 2nd Street, Hazleton.
    A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
    Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
