    James H. Klinger, 79, formerly of Manheim Twp., died at The Mennonite Home on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Born and raised in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Harry and Mildred (Klinger) Klinger. James was the husband of Marilyn Brodhecker Klinger for 57 years.
    He graduated from William Penn High School, Harrisburg, and then from Shippensburg State Teachers College in 1957 with a Bachelor's in Education. A school business manager, James worked for Octorara Area School District for 28 years and then Manheim Township School District for 4 years. Lastly, James was the business manager for First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster. Professionally, James was a member of PSEA and the Lancaster County Tax Collectors Association.
    James loved music and was often found humming to any music he heard. As a youth, James was a paid soloist at his Harrisburg church. He was an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow. James enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake aboard his 38' Holiday Mansion; traveling the Caribbean, Europe and the US; woodworking, vegetable gardening and cheering for the Redskins.
    He was a former long-term member of Highland Presbyterian Church, and was previously active in Perseverance Lodge #21 F.&A.M., Zembo Shrine A.A.O.N.M.S. and the Zembo Police Guard.
    In addition to his loving wife Marilyn, James is survived by a son, Robert Klinger, husband of Darla (Divet), Landisville; a daughter, Nancy Ann, wife of the late Thomas Lawrence, Bowie, MD; 6 grandchildren and a sister, Martha Jean, wife of Paul Gish, Rockford, IL.
    A viewing will take place 1 to 2 pm, followed by the funeral at 2 pm, on Friday, February 20, 2015, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Pastor Douglas Evans will officiate. Interment in Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater PA, 2595 Interstate Dr., Ste. 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.3

    Marilyn Brodhecker Klinger, 82, of Lancaster, passed away at Mennonite Home on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Born and raised in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Belva Brodhecker. She was the wife of the late James H. Klinger, who passed in 2015, for 57 years.
    She graduated from William Penn High School in 1955 and went on to be an office manager for Octorara High School, Visiting Angels, and, most notably for Dr. DeGreen at Lancaster Cancer Center, where she worked for 25 years.
    Marilyn enjoyed traveling and experiencing different cultures with her husband James. Together, they traveled the world, going to a new place every time they left Lancaster. She loved crafts and was able to make intricate scherenschnitte art and needlework, including cross stitch and counted cross stich. Incredibly skilled with her hands, Marilyn spent much of her time knitting and crocheting. She participated in knitting many pieces that were donated to the homeless as a member of the Woodcrest Ladies’ Club. Marilyn loved card games and enjoyed playing double pinochle and bridge. A very social person, Marilyn was always fond of group activities and spending time with friends.
    Marilyn was a member and past-president of both the Lancaster Women’s Club and the Towne Club.
    Marilyn is survived by a son; Bob Klinger, husband of Darla (Divet); a daughter, Nancy Lawrence, nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 2:00pm at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with Pastor John Baker officiating. Guests will be received prior to the service for a time of viewing starting at 1:00pm. Interment at Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lancaster Cancer Center at 1858 Charter Lane, Suite 202, Lancaster, PA 17602 or to the American Cancer Society at 314 Good Dr, Lancaster, PA 17603.

    Paul H. Gish, 84, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at OSF St. Anthony. Born March 11, 1936, in Elizabethtown, PA, the son of J. Harold and Elizabeth B. (Birnstiel) Gish. Graduated from Penn Manor High School, Millersville, PA in 1954 and Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA in 1958 with a BS in Chemistry. Paul was active in Pi Lambda Phi fraternity and the American Chemical Society. He married Martha J. Klinger on June 10, 1961 at Pine Street Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, PA. Paul belonged to various masonic organizations including Lodge 43, F&AM, Lancaster, PA, Lodge of Perfection, Lancaster, PA, the consistory of the Scottish Rite, Harrisburg, PA and the Tebala Shrine, Rockford, IL. He was employed at Warner Lambert for 42 years until his retirement in 2000. Paul enjoyed playing golf in his spare time, even achieving two holes-in-one. He also enjoyed reading and going to riverboat casinos.
    Survived by his wife, Martha; daughters, Lynne (Michael) Olson and Carole Cook; son, Douglas Gish; grandchildren, Grace, Michaela & Ian Olson, Cameron Cook, Sheyenne Woody, and Carter & Tucker Gish; sister, Joanne Chambers; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; daughter-in-law, Jenn Caron; and brother-in-law, James Klinger.

    Mrs. Pearl Klinger
    Mrs. Pearl Klinger, widow of Arthur A. Klinger. formerly of 523 West Market St., Williamstown, died Sunday evening at the Evangelical United Brethren Home in Quincy.
    Born in Williamstown, May 28, 1889, she was the daughter of the late Milton J. and Agnes Rubendall Paul. Mrs. Klinger was a member of the Seibert Evangelical United Brethren Church where she was on the Board of Stewards and taught a Sunday School Class. She had been a guest at the EUB Home for four months.
    Surviving are two brothers Roy Paul, Williamstown; Gyan Paul, Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews.
    The funeral will take place Thursday from the J. Franklin Lyons Funeral Home, Williamstown with the Rev. Donald E. Zechman, the pastor of the Seibert Church, and the Rev. S. E. Robatin officiating. Interment will take place at the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.
