  82, of Brandon passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012. Born in Pottsville, PA, Mrs. Bretz had been a local resident since 2007. She was a home-maker who enjoyed caring for her family and reading. Survivors include her sons, Craig (Lisa) Bretz of Lakeland, FL; Kenneth (Deborah) Bretz of Tampa, FL; Robert Bretz of Tampa, FL; daughters, Charlene (Wayne) Miller of Brooksville, FL; Susan Pegley of Seffner, FL; four grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Her sons, David Bretz, infant Robert Bretz; daughter, Debra Bretz and her brother, John Bretz, preceded Mrs. Bretz in death.   Lebanon native Robert H, Bretz, 66, Mt. Carmel, died Tuesday, May 13, 1997, in Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind. He was the husband of Jean McClane Bretz.
  Born in Lebanon on Nov. 4, 1930, he was the son of the late Stewart and Bertha Mann Bretz. A retired railroad machinist, he was an Army veteran and a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel.
  Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters Charlene Miller of Brooksville, Fla., Susan Pegley of Riverview, Fla., and Robin Anderson of Mt. Carmel; sons Robert, Craig and Kenneth Bretz, all of Tampa, Fla; a stepdaughter Georgia Caudill of Longview, Texas; a stepson, Mike Cantwell of Copperas Cove, Texas; brothers Kenneth of Manheim, Arthur of Pine Grove, Donald of Fayetteville, N.C., and William and Warren Bretz of Green Cove Springs, Fla; sisters Gloria Koch of Louisville, Ky., Frances Helderman of Pine Grove and MayBelle Rhodes of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Stewart and Ernest Bretz; a son, David, and an infant son and daughter.

  John R. Klinger, Sr., 79, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011, in Schuylkill Medical Center South Jackson Street, Pottsville.
  Born on May 13, 1932, in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late John Rupp and the late Bessie Klinger Rhoad.
  John was a member of the Sattizahn Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council.
  He was a graduate of Jonestown High School.
  John was a Pfc in the Army having served during the Korean Conflict with the 121st TT Company. He received the Korean Service Medal w/ 3 bronze service stars and the United Nations Service Medal. He was a a life member of both the Pine Grove V.F.W. Post 3432, and the Pine Grove American Legion Post 374 and was an active member of the Military Honor Guard Unit in Pine Grove.
  John worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for V.A. Hospital, Lebanon.
  He was a member of the Pine Grove Masonic Lodge 409 F. & A. M the Harrisburg Consistory and the Shriners. He was a life member of the following, the Oak Grove Sportsman Club, the Red Suspenders Sportsman Club, the NRA and the North American Hunting Club.
  Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Corrine Aungst Klinger; four sons, Rodney and wife, Darlene Klinger of Port St. Luci, Fla., Ronald and wife, Peg Klinger of Pine Grove, Jeffrey and wife, Lisa Klinger of Thornton, John, Jr. and wife, Krista Klinger, of Pine Grove; six grandchildren, Monica wife of Travis Diehl, Jeremy Klinger, Elise Klinger; Jeffrey Klinger, Jr., Jesse Rhen; Jason Hebener; three great-grandchildren, Cody Diehl, Owen Diehl; Clark Diehl; one sister, Grace Bretz, Florida; four step brothers, John Rupp, Elias Rupp, Robert Rupp; Terry Rupp; four step sisters, Sarah Dove, Mary Kreiser, Helen Light, Annie Rupp, all of Lebanon county, and a Cousin, Irvin Rupp in Florida.
  Services will be held at H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Friday at 12 noon with Rev. Ted Hummel officiating. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., with Masonic services to be held at 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

  Ronald Edgar Klinger, 67 of Pine Grove, passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
  Born on May 17, 1953, in Pottsville, he was a son of Corrine Aungst Klinger of Pine Grove and the late John R. Klinger, Sr.
  Ronald was self employed as a Plumbing and heating technician.
  He was a member of Outwood Lutheran Church Pine Grove and a 1971 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.
  Ron was a member of the Pine Grove Masonic Lodge #409 F. & A. M.. and was a lifetime member of the Oak Grove Sportsman Club, the NRA, the Pine Grove Fish & Game and the Hickory Mountain Hunting Club. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, being active in his community, hunting and fishing.
  Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 29 years, Mary "Peg" Emerich Klinger, a son, Jesse Rhen and his partner, Joy Gilbreath of Annville; two Grandchildren Jaxon Rhen and Irelynn Rhen; three Brothers, Rodney & wife Darlene Klinger of Rock Hill S. Carolina, John, and wife Krista Klinger of Pine Grove and Jeffrey & wife Lisa Klinger of West Chester, Pa.
  There will be a viewing on Sunday, October 18, from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm in the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove and masks will be required to enter the Funeral Home for the viewing. Services will be at the convenience of the family with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating.
  The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Pine Grove Area Educational Foundation P. O. Box 98 Pine Grove, PA 17963, in his memory.
