    Mr. Klinger a son of the late Charles and Martha Eisenhower Klinger, was born in Duncott. Reared by the Clarence Fix family at Brommerstown, he was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. He was last employed at Schuylkill Country Club.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Shappel, a son Ricki Neil, a first grade student at Kimmel's Schoool; two brothers, Charles and John, both of Pottsville.
    Funeral Friday afternoon from Geschwindt Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Pastor Philip Foster and Pastor Harry Thoman will officiate at services. Interment will be made in Mount Laurel Cemetery, Pottsville.

    Charles H. Klinger
    Charles H. Klinger, of 545 E. Norwegian St., owner and operator of a service station at E. Arch St. and Pottsville Boulevard, died suddenly Thursday morning at his home.
    Ill several weeks, he was a son of the late Charles and Ema (Eisenhower) Klinger. Mr. Klinger was married Jan. 20, 1931 to the former Doris E, Spitzner, of Pottsville, who survives.
    From 1945 to 1956 he was employed by Walter Reed Agency, Pottsville. He previously worked at other service stations and five years ago opened the service station at Arch St. and the Boulevard.
    A veteran of Worl War Two, he served with the U. S. Army as a technician 4th grade in the quartermaster department. He served overseas in Normandy, North France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.
    Mr. Klinger attended Christ Evan. Congregational Church; was a member of Pottsville VFW and Greenwood Fire Co.
    A daughter, Mrs. William Derr, died two years ago.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three grandchildren, William A. Derr. Kathleen A. Derr, Julia' A. Derr, all at home; a brother, John Klinger, Pottsville.

    Born in Pottsville, he was a son of Elizabeth Burke Klinger, Pottsville, and the late John Klinger.
    He attended the former Mary Queen of Peace Parochial School and Pottsville High School, where he played football. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, having served a tour in Vietnam, where he earned the Bronze Star, the Combat Infantry Badge and the Army Commendation Medal. He worked for Conrail before taking employment with Dana Corp. He also owned and operated the former Pallet Shop, Pottsville.
    He was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Church, Pottsville, and maintained membership in the National Wild Turkey Federation. He was also a volunteer at Helping Hands Wildlife Center, North Manheim Township.
    Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, the former Barbara Zachar, on March 1, 2017; two brothers, Jimmy Joe Klinger and Richard Klinger; a sister, Catherine Corson.
    Surviving, in addition to his mother, are three children, Cindy Smith (spouse, David), Pottsville, Lynn Dierwechter (spouse, Barry), Second Mountain, and Edward Dougherty (spouse, Debbie), Black Heath; six grandchildren, Robert Darosh, Duane Zimmerman Jr., Christina Weikel, Ashley Dinanath, Julie Dougherty and Daniel Dougherty; five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, John Klinger Jr. and Gary Klinger; nieces and nephews.
    Relatives and friends may call from 6 p.m. Sunday at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury St., Minersville. Interment with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.     Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marian Viola Zachar.
    She was a 1958 graduate of Nativity BVM High School.
    She worked in the local garment industry and was last employed by the former B & J Knitters, Pottsville.
    She was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Church, Pottsville. She was also a volunteer at Helping Hands Wildlife Center, North Manheim Township, where she cared for several wildlife babies. She was a strong supporter of the center, and she loved her cats.
    Barbara enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors. She was also known for her cooking, baking and candy-making. She and her husband, Robert, loved going for rides and cook-outs, where she enjoyed burnt hot-dogs and roasted marshmallows.
    The last of her siblings, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Zachar; three sisters, Jean Berger, Mary Kershaw and Marge Gately.
    She is survived by her husband, Robert Klinger, to whom she was married on Sept. 11, 1976; three children, Cindy Smith (spouse, David), Pottsville, Lynn Dierwechter, (spouse, Barry), Second Mountain, and Edward Dougherty, (spouse, Debbie), Black Heath; six grandchildren, Robert Darosh, Duane Zimmerman Jr., Christina Weikel, Ashley Dinanath, Daniel Dougherty and Julie Dougherty; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
    Services are private. The family prefers donations to the Helping Hands Wildlife Center, 41 W. Second Mountain Road, Pottsville, PA 17901. Dutcavich Funeral Home has charge.
