Tobias Adams, aged 76, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. J. Griffiths, 236 Washington St., Frackville, on Tuesday. Death was attributed to old age,
He leaves to survive, four daughters, Mrs. Robt. Smeltz, of Red Cross, Pa. Mrs, Levi Paul, of Dornsife, Pa; Mrs. Rufus Swalm, of Dornsife, and Mrs. Wm. J. Griffiths, at whose home he died, and one son Monroe, of Allentown, a brother, John of Dornsife, also survives.
He was a former resident of Dornsife, and has made his home with his daughter for the past five months. He was a devout member of the Reformed church. Rev. Schellhase, pastor of St. Peters Reformed church, Frackville, will hold a short service before 7 a. m., Saturday, at the house, at which time the funeral cortege will leave by auto for Dornsife, where services will be held in Hummel's [Himmel's] church, and interment to follow in Hummel's church cemetery. W. A. Nice, of Frackvillle, will be undertaker in charge.

William A. Rice, 89, of Lykens, passed away peacefully Tuesday night, November 25, 2025 with his family by his side.
Born in Freeport, Illinois, on Friday, October 30, 1936, a son of the late William and Laura Klinger Rice.
Bill retired with over forty years of service with the United States Postal Service, working out of the Harrisburg office. He was also a co-owner of the former R & K Diner, Elizabethville, a business successfully ran for over 46 years, retiring in 2015.
He was a member of the Immanuel/Wesley United Methodist Church, Loyalton.
He was an avid train collector, belonging to the Train Collector Association.
He enjoyed spending time and taking care of the family pets. Bill will be remembered as a loving husband and father.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Kay Miller Rice, 2022.
Surviving are his three children, Edwin Rice (Suzanne), Lykens, Michelle Rice, Loyalton, and Drinda Rice (Douglas), Halifax; a sister, Linda Greenhaw, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Immanuel/Wesley United Methodist Church, Loyalton, with his pastor, Pastor William Romberger officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11 AM at the church. Bill will be laid to rest in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.

Kay E. Rice, 82, of Lykens (Loyalton), passed away early Monday morning, July 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Kay was born in Loyalton, March 31, 1940, a daughter of the late Claude and Lillian Rowe Miller. She was 1958 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School.
Kay was a co-owner of the former R & K Diner, Elizabethville, a business successfully ran for over 46 years, retiring in 2015.
She was a faithful and lifetime member of the Immanuel/Wesley United Methodist Church, Loyalton where she belonged to Helping Hands and was active with the women's group.
She enjoyed doing ceramics, crafts, gardening, taking care of her fur babies, but above all her family was the center of her world.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, William A. Rice, three children; Edwin Rice (Suzanne), Lykens, Michelle Rice, Loyalton and Drinda Rice (Douglas), Halifax.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor William Romberger officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville. Viewing will be from 10-11 am at the chapel.
