    MILLERSBURG - Evelyn C. Lenker, 71, of 210 3rd Street, died Sunday, in the Harrisburg Hospital.
    She was born in Millersburg, the daughter of the late Boyd and Florence (Hoy) Lenker.
    She was retired from the former Muskin Shoe and Kinney Shoe Factories. She was a member of Hebron U.M. Church, Millersburg, she enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzels and country music. Despite her illness she kept a very positive attitude.
    Surviving are three brothers, Richard and his wife, Eva of Mechanicsburg, and Frank and Robert, both of Millersburg; two sisters, Dolores and her husband, Ronald Leiser of Millersburg and Shirley Lenker of Millersburg; and a niece, Holly Barry of Elizabethville.
    Services will be held pm Thursday at 11 a.m., at the Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Millersburg. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.3

    She enjoyed reading, especially country western novels. Her greatest joy was watching the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball team.
    She is survived by her brother, Robert Lenker and Frank Lenker, and sister, Dolores Leiser, all of Millersburg. Niece, Holly, wife of Scott Barry and family, Elizabethville and Nephew, Tep Lenker, Lykens.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lenker and sister, Evelyn Lenker.
    A memorial will be held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Inc in Millersburg, Friday, March 1st, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Rick Anderson officiating. Inurnment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.

    LYKENS - Dolores M. Leiser of Lykens Twp., passed away Wednesday September 25, 2024 at home.
    She was born July 21, 1933 in Upper Paxton Twp. to the late Boyd and Florence (Hoy) Lenker.
    Dolores was a high school graduate and retired from the former Dauphin Deposit Bank. She was a member of Hebron U.M. Church and attended Berrysburg Evangelical Church. She enjoyed writing poems and reading.
    Surviving is a daughter Holly Barry and her husband Scott, a brother Robert Lenker, grandchildren Meagan (Brendan), Rachel, Faith and Nathan, a niece, and seven great grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Ronald K. Leiser, brothers Richard and Frank, sisters Evelyn and Shirley.
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 118 South Market St., Millersburg, PA. There will be a visitation from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.

    MILLERSBURG - Ronald K. Leiser, age 80, of 230 Moore St., passed away on January 24th, 2013 at his residence.
    He was born on Sept. 25, 1932 in Millersburg the son of the late Irvin and Goldie Cray Leiser . He was also preceded in death by a brother Conway "Jack" Leiser.
    He graduated from Millersburg High School class of 1953. He retired from Kinney Shoe Co. with 32 years of service in 1989. He then retired from Willits Shoe Co after five years in 1994.
    Ron was a member Millersburg Moose Lodge #59, Ned Smith Center, Penn Pals travel club, Medic 6 and Millersburg Ambulance Club. His biggest enjoyment was when he could help someone. He volunteered with Lifeline, helped to paint the ferry boat every year and worked at his church Hebron UM Church in Millersburg.
    Surviving are his loving wife Dolores, a daughter Holly Barry and husband Scott of Elizabethville, four grandchildren Meagan (Brendan) Hock, Rachel Barry fiance (James Gordon), Faith Barry and Nathan Barry; a great grandchild Roy Gordon; a brother Edward "Sonny" Klinger of Liverpool; several nieces and nephews.
    He loved sports, nature, like to go walking everyday. His family and grandchildren brought much joy to his life and he will be missed by them.
    Memorial Services will be held on Saturday Feb. 2, 2013 at 11:00 am at Hebron U.M. Church in Millersburg.

    Born Feb. 9, 1928 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Grace M. 'Wakefield) Kurtz.
    Eva was retired from the former United Telephone, Carlisle and was a member of Telephone Pioneers, Carlisle Hospital Auxiliary and Mechanicsburg Church of The Brethren.
    She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Lenker of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Donna Kurtz Hoffmaster of Marysville; a brother, Richard Kurtz of New Bloomfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Kurtz Arnold and Gladys Kurtz Howell, and two brothers, Paul C. and Glen A. Kurtz.
    A memorial service will be held Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. in Mechanicsburg Church of the Brethren, 301 Gale St., Mechanicsburg.
