    TREVORTON - Steven W. Long, 71, of 201 S. 11th St., died Wednesday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was admitted Wednesday morning.
    He had been ill since 1983 and hospitalized several times.
    Born in West Cameron Township Feb. 2, 1915, he was a son of the late George J. and Cora A. (Gottshall): Long. In 1935, he married the former Stella Thurston.
    Mr. Long was a resident of Trevorton for the past 51 years and previously lived in West Cameron Township. He was a coal miner. He was educated in West Cameron Township schools; a member of the United Church of Christ, Trevorton Fire Company, American Legion, Woodmen of the World and Senior Citizens, all of Trevorton; West Cameron Township Nimrods; Sunbury Moose Lodge; and a life member of Independence Fire Company, Shamokin.
    He served in the Army during World War II.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Alan of Milton RD1; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Reynolds of Dalmatia RD1 and Mrs. Beverly Cantor of Coatesville; two brothers, Charles M. of West Cameron Township and Gilbert of Trevorton; four grandchildren; and , one great-grandson.
    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Robert Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton, by the Rev. Sherry Braun-Grundon. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
    Visitors may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Mrs. Hattie R. Crosson, age 54 years, died at her home, Millersburg R. D., on Thursday. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Killinger.
    Survivors are her husband, Harvey Crosson, and the following children: Mrs. Fred Fenzl, Harrisburg; Mrs. Paul Lontz, Millersburg; Mrs. W. W. Laudenslager, Halifax; Mrs. Leroy Silks an d Ralph G. Crosson, of Montebello, California; Mrs. Marlin Hoover, Lykens; Melvin and Frances, both of Dauphin R. D; Marlin and George of Millersburg R. D; Donald and Albert Crosson, both of Millersburg.

    Services were held fiom the Riegle Funeral Home, Millersburg, at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon. Rev. L. C. Mortensen, pastor of Salem Lutheran Church officiated, and interment was was made in the church cemetery.
