• According to the 1910 Census, Calvin and his wife Maud were living in Dawson County (Wood River Precinct), NE, where Calvin was a farmer. They had been married 9 years and had given birth to 4 children, 3 of whom were then living. Their household included their children Emerson, Gladys, and Roy, all of whom were born in Nebraska.²
• In 1920, Calvin and Maud were living in Oak Valley Township, Otter Tail County, MN, where Calvin was a farmer. Their household included 4 children -- Emerson, Gladys, Roy, and Orey, along with Maud's parents, Erie [possibly, "Eric"] and Josephine Northrup.⁵
• By 1930, Calvin and Maud's household included only 2 sons, Roy and Orey.⁶

• At the time of the 1910 Census, Rena and her husband "James E." were living in Oak Hollow area of Hutchinson County, SD, where James was a farmer, They had been married 12 years and had given birth to 4 children, all of whom were living with them: Verna, Marie, Harry, and AC. Verna was born in Nebraska, while the other 3 were born in South Dakota, suggesting that they must have moved to South Dakota around 1900.²
• According to the 1920 Census, Rena and James were living in School District 5, Fergus County, MT, where James was a farmer. Their household included 5 children: Marie, Gladys, A.C., Harry, and Merle.³
