Klinger and Barbara Sedora Williard, on 10 June 1922, Simeon Lutheran Church, Gratz, Dauphin County, PA.1 Roy Franklin Shade died on 15 October 1966, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA, at age 69.2

Roy F. Shade, 69, died at his home Saturday evening. He resided along Route 25, one and one-half miles west of Gratz. He was a son of the late Jacob and Lissie Ritzman Shade.
He was born in Gratz July 4. 1897. He was married to Alice R. Klinger, who survives together with one son, Allen A. Shade of Spring Glenn; one daughter, Lillian, wife of [Mr.] Clarence Walker of Gratz; five grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, N. A. Shade of Lykens RD; George H. Shade and Fred L. Shade of Gratz; Mrs. Charles Keiffer, Muir, and Mrs. Susan Uhler, Williamstown.
He was a member of Simeon's Lutheran Church of Gratz, Dauphin County Pomona Grange and Gratz fire company.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19 at 2 p.m from Simeon's Lutheran and United Church of Christ Church in Gratz. Burial will be in Union cemetery, Gratz. His pastor, Rev. Robert Logan of Gratz will officiate, assisted by Rev. James D, Reed of Elizabethville.
Viewing will be Tuesday from to p.m. at the church. The Martin S. Reed funeral home at Pillow is in charge of burial arrangements.

Mrs. Welker was a homemaker.
She was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz.
Mrs. Welker was also a member of the Gratz Historical Society and Gratz Antique Machinery Association.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Ricky E. Welker and Harry E. Welker, both of Gratz; five grandchildren; and one 74, Gratz great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Shade.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Market and Chestnut streets, Pillow, where a religious service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Barry Ridge.
Burial will be in Gratz Union Cemetery.

He was the former tax collector for Lykens Twp., for 31 years.
He was a graduate of the Class of 1946 of Hegins Township High School.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky E. Welker of Gratz and Harry E. Welker of Gratz; 3 sisters, Helen Yergo of Elizabethville, Arlayne Kobel of Gratz, and Hannah Klinger of Halifax. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Religious Services were held at Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz on Saturday, June 9, with Rev. Barry Ridge officiating. Interment was in Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz. James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, was in charge of the services.
