Richard Eugene Wenrich was born on 2 January 1921.1 He was the son of John Reilly Wenrich and Gertrude C. Klinger.1 Richard Eugene Wenrich married Mary A. Kipp, daughter of Harry Kipp and Elsie Shaeffer, in 1942.2,3 Richard Eugene Wenrich died on 30 October 1943, at age 22. Richard was a tail gunner on an Army B-25 that was on a mission from Libya to Greece, when it was attacked and shot down by enemy aircraft. The plane crashed into the sea about 2 miles west of Naxos Harbor, Greece. Richard was officially listed as "missing in action."1 News of Richard's death in action in the Mediterranean reached his wife in Lebanon in December, 1943. As one newspaper recalled,

Earl W. Wenrich, 96, of Elizabethtown and formerly of Hummelstown passed away Friday, March 15, 2019.
Born January 27, 1923 in Shellsville, he was the son of the late John and Gertrude (Klinger) Wenrich. He was the widower of Pauline Loretta (Shuey) Wenrich since October 2013 and was also preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Lynn Breckenmaker in January 2018 and brother Richard Wenrich.
Retired from Avco New Idea Farm Equipment Company with 37 years of service, he also worked in the Hershey Medical Center Post Office for seven years. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown and Hummelstown Lions Club. Earl was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and attaining the rank of Major retired as a flight officer from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Surviving are his daughter Kimberly Sue, wife of Robert M. Stroman of Millersburg; son Garry Lee, husband of Judy V. Wenrich of Carlisle; son-in-law Alan L. Breckenmaker of Palmyra; sister Martha Feidt of Arizona; brother-in-law Alan “Joe” Hetzel of Hummelstown; grandchildren Jeffrey Breckenmaker, Wesley Breckenmaker, Courtney Miller, Amy Stroman, Dallas Wenrich, Melisa Sheriff and Melinda Keck; twelve great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra with Pastor Timothy Getz officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036.1

Sandra L. Breckenmaker, 66, of Palmyra passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
Born June 27, 1951 in Hershey, she was a daughter of Earl W. Wenrich of the Masonic Village and the late Pauline L. (Shuey) Wenrich.
Retired from the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, she was a lifetime member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown. Sandy enjoyed the simple things in life. Some of her favorites were York Peppermint Patties, Coke slushies, shopping for great sales, baking and cooking, finding the perfect gift for any occasion, going to the beach, Christmas and every aspect of it, yard sales, taking pictures, Chocolate Coke sodas, her hats and doll collection, Friday's spent with her dad going to Costco and Sam's Club but most importantly spending time with her family and friends that loved her so dearly and who loved her as much in return.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 46 years Alan L. Breckenmaker; children Jeffrey, husband of Erica Breckenmaker, Wesley Breckenmaker, and Courtney, wife of Chris Miller; sister Kimberly, wife of Robert Stroman of Millersburg; brother Garry, husband of Judy Wenrich of Carlisle; and grandchildren Savannah Winters, Cole Breckenmaker, Cade Breckenmaker, and Charley Miller.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 26, 2018 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.

Some of her favorites were York Peppermint Patties, Coke slushies, shopping for great sales, baking and cooking, finding the perfect gift for any occasion, going to the beach, Christmas and every aspect of it, yard sales, taking pictures, Chocolate Coke sodas, her hats and doll collection, Friday's spent with her dad going to Costco and Sam's Club but most importantly spending time with her family and friends that loved her so dearly and who loved her as much in return.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 46 years Alan L. Breckenmaker; children Jeffrey, husband of Erica Breckenmaker, Wesley Breckenmaker, and Courtney, wife of Chris Miller; sister Kimberly, wife of Robert Stroman of Millersburg; brother Garry, husband of Judy Wenrich of Carlisle; and grandchildren Savannah Winters, Cole Breckenmaker, Cade Breckenmaker, and Charley Miller.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 26, 2018 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Village, for the Aides and Caregivers in the Health Care Center Roosevelt 4; 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
