KLINGERSTOWN - Guy W. Erdman, 63, a retired farmer and miner, of Klingerstown RD1 died Friday morning in his home.
Mr. Erdman had been in failing health for the past 15 months.
Born in Pitman, Oct. 5, 1916, he was the son of Mrs. Mabel Wolfgang Erdman, Spring Glen, and the late William Erdman.
He was last employed by Brosious Homes, Inc., a Sunbury-based housing construction company.
A member of the Salem United Church of Christ and its Sunday school, Klingerstown RD1, he also belonged to the church consistory and was the church janitor for many years. He was also a member of the Klingerstown Fire Company.
Mr. Erdman was graduated with the class of 1934 from Hegins Township High School.
He was married to Olive Maurer Erdman in 1942.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Ronald G. of Myerstown RD3 and Terry D. of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Miss June Erdman, at home; three grandchildren; four brothers, Jay and Kenneth, both of Valley View, Leo of Spring Glen and Clair of Gratz; and three sisters, Mrs. Helen Reinoehl of Klingerstown RD1, Mrs. Kellie Rockwell of Ashland and Mrs. Lila Derck of Herndon RD.
The funeral will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Elden Ehrhart of Klingerstown officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Klingerstown. There will be no visitation.
The Lawrence Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD1, is in charge of the arrangements.

     Olive Marie Maurer was born circa 1920, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2 She was the daughter of Daniel A. Maurer and Katie E. Kahler.2 Olive Marie Maurer married Guy W. Erdman, son of William Walter Erdman and Mabel Minnie Wolfgang, on 7 March 1942, Frederick County, VA.1,3 Olive Marie Maurer died on 27 June 2020, Myerstown, Lebanon County, PA.2

Olive Marie Erdman, 100, of Myerstown, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at StoneRidge- Poplar Run, Myerstown.
She was born in Klingerstown, to the late Daniel and Katie (Kahler) Maurer.
She spent most of her life working on the farm, first in her youth and then after she married. After selling the farm she was employed as a factory worker.
She was a lifetime member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready.
She was preceded in death by her husband Guy W. Erdman and a son Terry D. Erdman and siblings, Lawrence, Marlin, Clifford, her twin sister Effie, and Lester.
Olive is survived by a daughter, June Erdman, of Myerstown, PA; a son,Ronald, husband of Melissa Erdman, of Myerstown; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Erdman, of FL; 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 1-2 PM at Salem Church of Rough and Ready with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Terry Dale Erdman, 65, passed away Jan. 24 in Naples, Fla.
Born in Rough and Ready, Terry was a son of Olive Maurer Erdman, Myerstown, and the late Guy Erdman.
After graduating from Tri-Valley High School in Hegins, he went on to graduate from Penn State University and then received his master's degree in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He served in the Army.
Terry was an avid woodworker and was always ready for a good DIY project. He also loved boating and fishing.
During his years of travelling the world for Procter and Gamble, Terry made it a habit to visit every Hard Rock Cafe he encountered. At last count he was nearing the 60 mark.
Terry regularly attended Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Naples, Fla., and was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church in Williamsburg, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Erdman.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Peggy Erdman, Bonita Springs, Fla; mother, Olive; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Joe Bishman, Naples, Fla; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jasmine Erdman, Mason, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Melissa Erdman, Myerstown; sister, June Erdman, Myerstown; grandchildren, Noah and Ethan Erdman, Mason, Ohio; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 330 Gay St., Williamsburg, Ohio, with a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m. Donations in Terry's memory can be made to Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 330 Gay St., Williamsburg, OH 45176 or Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 8200 Immokalee Road, Naples, FL 34119.
