Anna Elizabeth Williams, 96, formerly of 206 Gap St., Valley View, died Friday at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Red Cross, Sept. 29, 1908, a daughter of the late Jay and Vesta Erdman Zartman.
She retired from the former Philmark Mfg. Company, Valley View. She was also part-owner of the former Midland Theater, Valley View.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, and was a charter member of Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. She was also a member of Mahantongo Senior Citizens, Gratz Historical Society, American Legion Post 575 Auxiliary and Valley View Fire Company Auxiliary.
She was the widow of Earl E. Williams, who died in 1980. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Helen E. Artz, in 2002; a grandson, Richard Artz, in 1998; three brothers, Daniel, Fred, and Clarence Zartman; and two sisters, Carrie Snyder and Mary Barnhardt.
She is survived by a grandson, Kim W. Artz, Reading, and by three grandchildren, Venessa Y. Engle, Perkasie, Travis C. Artz, Thailand, and Jamey E. Artz, West Lawn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, with the Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating, assisted by the Rev. Curtis Zemencik. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the church. Interment will be in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, PA 17983 or to the American Red Cross, Katrina Relief Fund.      Earl E. Williams was born circa 1901.1 He married Anna Elizabeth Zartman.2 Earl E. Williams died on 25 April 1981, Valley View, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA.1

VALLEY VIEW - Earl E. Williams, 80, of 812 Main St., died Saturday at 7:45 p.m. in his home.
Mr. Williams owned and operated the Earl E. Williams Lumber Company, Valley View, and was a partner in Midland Theater, Valley View, from 1947 to 1972.
He was born March 27, 1901, in Hegins, son of the late Harry E. and S. Elizabeth Miller Williams. He was married to the former Anna E. Zartman, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Helen E. Artz of West Reading; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. Burial will be in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
Friends may call at the Trinity Lutheran Church from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the organ fund of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.
Funeral arrangements are by the Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading.
