Kay L. Perkins, 53, of 203 North St., Lykens, died Saturday at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
Born in Ashland, Dec. 28, 1942, she was a daughter of Laverne E. Bender Wetzel, Tower City, and the late William A. Wetzel.
She was employed at Lebro Shirt factory, Lykens.
She was a member of Lykens United Methodist Church.
A daughter, Tracey A. Barton, died in 1987. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a companion, Roy L. Wiest, with whom she resided; a son, Terry Barton, Reading; a sister, Karen Hatter, Hegins; aunts and uncles; cousins.
Services were held today from the Chapel of the Corl Funeral Homes Inc., Tower The Rev. Kevin Hughes officiated. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.

Services for William A. Wetzel, 65, of 44 Thompson St., Tower City, who died Tuesday at his home, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Corl-Dreisigacker Funeral Home Inc., Tower City. The Rev. Glen Bright, Muir Foursquare Gospel Church, will officiate. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
Mr. Wetzel was born in Barry Township, a son of the late David and Hannah Wetzel.
He was a member of Muir Fire Company.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving are his wife, the former Laverne Bender; two daughters, Kay, wife of Gary Perkins, Lykens, and Karen, wife of Edward Bohr, Orwin; three grandchildren; four sisters, Helen Bechtel, and Ruth Wentzel, both of Ashland, Ethel, wife of Harold Wertz, Mount Carmel, and Dorothy, wife of Raymond Kraft, Orlando, Fla; a brother, Raymond, Ashland.

Laverne Wetzel, 86, of Tower City passed away Saturday at the Schuylkill Medical Center-East, Pottsville.
Born in Keffers, February 11, 1924 a daughter of the late Ross Bender and Hattie Miller.
Laverne was of the protestant faith.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, William, 1985; daughter, Kay Perkins, 1995 and granddaughter, Tracey Barton, 1987.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen A. Hatter, Clarks Valley; 2 Grandsons, Ed Bohr, Tower City; Terry Barton, Narvon; 5 Great grandchildren Ashley and Austin Bohr; Brian, Brandon and Amanda Barton; one sister, Lois K. Miller; a nephew, Edward Miller, both of Etters.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 11th at 2:30 from St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove with Rev. Edward Gobrecht. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Tower Porter EMS, P.O. Box 33 Tower City PA 17980.²

Tracey Ann Barton, 20, of 203 North St., Lykens, died Sunday in Hershey Medical Center where she was taken by helicopter from the scene of a one-car accident early Sunday morning in Valley View.
Miss Barton was a daughter of Terry L. Barton Sr., Shillington, and Kay Wetzel Barton Perkins, Lykens.
She was a 1985 graduate.of Williams Valley High School. Miss Barton had been continuing her education. She was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a brother, Terry Barton Jr., Shillington; and maternal grandmother, Laverne Wetzel, Tower City.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from Corl-Dreisigacker Funeral Home Inc., Tower City. The Rev. Lloyd Shellenberger will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.
