Jennie M. Kahler, 89, RR1 Dornsife
DORNSIFE - Jennie M. Kahler, 89, formerly of RR1 Dornsife, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg, where she had been a patient since Oct. 22, 2004.
She was born March 11, 1915, in RR1 Klingerstown, the daughter of the late Edward and Sadie (Schreffler) Engle. She was married to Irvin G. "Zip" Kahler, who preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1985.
Mrs. Kahler was educated in the Klingerstown area schools and enjoyed baking and cooking.
She was a retired employee of the former Dormar Manufacturing, Gratz.
Mrs. Kahler was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving are three daughters, Shirley J. Wiest of Valley View, Jean E. and her husband Larry Alvord of RD Dalmatia and Yvonne M. and her husband Bruce Maurer of Klingerstown; one son, Dennis G. and his wife Sandra Kahler of RR1 Dornsife; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters,' Helen Klinger, Macie Erdman and Viola Guinther and two brothers, Leon Engle and Raymond Engle.
There will be no viewing. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the funeral, which will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ride Road, Klingerstown.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.

Mausser Rites
Services for Gladys Mae Wenrich Mausser, 57, widow of Harry Mausser, RD1 Hegins, who died Thursday evening in Reading Hospital, will be held from Zion's (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, on Monday. The Rev. Paul Logan will officiate. Interment will be in Zion's Cemetery, Erdman.
Mrs. Mausser was of the Protestant faith. She was born at Ravine May 7, 1921, a daughter of the late Elmer and Eva Boyer Wenrich.
Her husband died in November, 1977.
Surviving are a son Harry Jr., of RD1 Hegins, a former resident of Norristown; a daughter Mary, wife of Glen Schwalm, Elizabethville; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lee Price, Sanford, N.C; a brother Ralph of Ravine; stepmother, Mrs. Irma Daubert, Pine Grove; stepsisters, Mrs. Gloria Felty, RD2 Hegins; Mrs. Carol Ellison, Mrs. Joan Fritz, Mrs. Patricia Kintzel, Pine Grove.
