Mark E. Harris, 62, of 1387 Armstrong Valley, Halifax, died Wednesday at his home.
Born in Upper Paxton Township, Dauphin County, he was a son of the late Calvin and Minnie Mattern Harris.
He was the retired owner and founder of Mark E. Harris & Sons Contracting Inc., Halifax and Millersburg area.
Mr. Harris was a member and former chief of the Lower Mahanoy Fire Company, a member of Harrisburg Carpenters Union Local 287 and Halifax Ambulance Association,
Surviving are his wife, Betty I; three sons, Steven E., Herndon, Ronald L.. Millersburg, and Roger, M., Dalmatia; three daughters, Sandra I. Maurer, Dalmatia, Patty H. Howard, RD Millersburg, and Kelly A; Harris, Halifax; four brothers, Marlin, Laverne, Calif., William, Dornsife, Daniel, Shamokin and Lee, Fearnot; a sister, Mildred Fulkroad, Millersburg; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in, Hoover Funeral Home, Millersburg. Interment will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.

HALIFAX - Betty I. Hollenbach Harris Lebo, age 93, of Halifax, died Saturday, July 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on August 23, 1930 in Herndon, PA at her homestead. She was the daughter of the late Charles Hollenbach and Nora ( Lahr ) Hollenbach.
Betty was married to the late Mark E. Harris for 43 Years (1993), and to the late Elvin Lebo, for 19 Years (2013).
She attended a one room school house in Urban, PA of which she walked to school 3 miles every day, and was never late or missed a day. In addition, to being a loving wife and mother, Betty worked at Muskin Shoe Factory and at Johnson and Bailey Shoe Company both in Millersburg, PA.
Betty was a present member of the of The Valleys Evangelical Covenant Church, Halifax PA and attended church in other areas in her earlier life.
Betty loved her puzzle books of crossword, word search, etc. She loved to travel in RV Campers into her 70's. then on cruises, trains, airplanes; and with her daughters & sons to almost all 50 states and locations in PA and the US. Betty was a devoted and caring wife and an amazingly accepting & loving mother.
Betty had 6 Children; the late Sandra Bohner (Jim); Steven Harris (Sharon); Ronald Harris ( Mary); Roger Harris (Sue); Patty Howard (late Doug); and Kelly Nace (Rich). She had 9 Grandchildren; Suzette, Nick, Mark, Jennifer, Shaun, Wesley, Crystal, Michelle and Daulton. 21 Great Grandchildren. 11 Great Great Grandchildren. Betty had 2 Step Children; Deb Lebo (Skip) and Rod Lebo (Rhonda). 3 Step Grandchildren; Michelle, Ryan and Lauren; 5 Step Great Grandchildren.
In addition to being preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son in law and daughter, Betty was preceded in death by her 5 Siblings & Spouses, Charles, Jr. (Doris) , Martha (Bob Rebuck), Marlin (Vivian), Shirley (Harold Zimmerman) and Delmar.
Services will be held at The Valleys Evangelical Covenant Church 3682 Peters Mountain Road, Halifax PA, 17032 on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 11 am. There will be visitation from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow the services at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax. After burial, attendies are invited to the Fisherville Fire Hall for lunch and light refreshments to celebrate her life and share memories.
