Cleavis Huntzinger Rites Saturday In Hegins Church
Cleavis Huntzinger, 66, of Hegins, will be buried Saturday morning in Hegins Union Cemetery, following services at the A. R. Buffington funeral home in Valley View, and in Frieden's Lutheran Church, Hegins. Rev. Stephen Schullery will officiate.
Mr. Huntzinger died Tuesday afternoon at his home, following an extended heart ailment. A native of Hegins township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Huntzinger and was a member of Frieden's Church. Formerly employed by the Good Spring Coal Company, for the last three years he was a janitor at the Hegins grade school building.
Survivors are his wife, the former Emma Harner; four sons, Marlin, of Spring Glen; Morris of Valley View; Cleavis, of Hegins, and Robert, of Hegins R. D; three daugnters, Mrs. Marlin Shade, of Gratz, Mrs. Norma Klinger, of Spring Glen, and Mrs. Philip Stine, of Newtown; four brothers, Spencer, of Hegins; Emerson, of Lebanon; Robert, of Valley View, and John, of Harrisburg; three sisters, Mrs. Camilla Fernsler, of Pottsville; Mrs. Estella Shadle, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Cousi Laudenslager, of Valley View; 13 grandchildren and one great-grand child.
