     Jefferson Snyder was born on 28 December 1853, Northumberland County, PA.2 Some sources record that Jefferson Snyder was born on 15 November 1850.1,3 He married Sarah Leitzel. Jefferson Snyder died on 24 October 1939, Leck Kill, Northumberland County, PA, at age 85.4

RETIRED MAHANTONGA FARMER DIES AT 86
Jefferson Snyder, 86, well known retired Lower Northumberland County farmer, died yesterday at his home in Leck Kill from a complication after an extended illness. He had been bedfast for several years.
He was born and reared in Lower Northumberland County, and spent practically his entire lifetime in the section of Leck Kill. He was engaged as a farmer, retiring from that vocation a number of years ago.
Surviving are the following children: George, of Ashland; Edward, of Hepler; William, of Selinsgrove; Elmer, of Coaldale; Wester, of Rebuck; Mrs. Ida Schreffier, Leck Kill; and Clarence at home; two brothers, Jesse, of Hazleton, and William, of Rebuck; and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Christ, of Hazleton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Lutheran Church in Leck Kill. Rev. Samuel Stauffer, pastor, will officiate and interment will be made in the church cemetery.
