    She was born in Hubley Twp, Schuylkill County, on June 25, 1920, a daughter of the late Roy T. and Vesta (Stiely) Koppenhaver.
    She retired as a trimmer for the former Valley View Enterprises.
    She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
    She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
    Her husband Albert L Mattern died in 1984.
    She is survived by four sons Robert R husband of Elizabeth Mattern, Elizabethville, Richard D husband of Carol Mattern, Elizabethville, Daniel W husband of Janet Mattern, Gettysburg, and Gerald L husband of Melody Mattern, Valley View; by 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Ann Mattern.
    Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18th, with Rev. George Reynolds officiating.
    Burial was made in the United Brethren Cemetery Sacramento, Pa.2
