Marlin E. Paul
HERNDON - Marlin E. Paul, 65, of Herndon, died today at 6:30 a.m. in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where be had been hospitalized on Aug. 29.
He bad been in ill health and hospitalized several times during his illness.
Mr. Paul was last employed by the Bethleham Steel Corp., Steelton.
He was a resident of Herndon for the past 33 years and previously lived in Klingerstown.
Mr. Paul was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Herndon; Herndon Fire Company; and the Herndon Borough Council.
Born in Valley View, May 5, 1913, he was a son of the late Charles and Katie Schlegel Paul. In 1935, be married the former Mae Bower, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are eight sons, Charles of Shamokin RD1, Mark of Trevorton, Willard of Winfield RD, Kenneth of Paxinos RD, Raymond of Shamokin RD1, Lee of Dornsife RD1, Gene of Herndon and Carl of Herndon RD1; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Sbeesley of Herndon RD1, Mrs. William Eisenhart Jr. of Sunbury RD3 and Mrs. Stephen Klinger of Herndon; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. David Kimmel of Valley View; and three brothers, Norman of Herndon RD, Robert of Millersburg and Guy of Lykens RD.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton, by the the Rev. Robert D. Myers. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening and Wednesday until the time of the service.

Mae I. Paul, 72, Herndon
HERNDON -- Mae I. Paul, 72, Herndon, died this morning, Aug. 8, 1990, in Sunbury Community Hospital. She had been in ill health since 1981 and last entered the hospital July 18.
She was born in Greenbrier, Sept. 14, 1917, a daughter of the late Charles and Lulu (Reigel) Bower. She lived in the Herndon area since 1946 and previously lived in Klingerstown. In 1935, she married Marlin E. Paul, who died in 1978.
Mrs. Paul was employed at Johnson-Baillie Shoe Co., Millersburg, retiring in 1980.
She was educated in Little Mahanoy Township schools. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Herndon, and Herndon Senior Citizens.
She is survived by eight sons, Charles and Raymond, both of Shamokin RDl, Mark of Trevorton, Willard of Winfield RD, Kenneth of Paxinos RD, Lee of Dalmatia RD1, Gene of Herndon and Carl of Herndon RDl; three daughters, Mary Middaugh of Millersburg, Shirley Eisenhart of Sunbury RD3 and Marlene Klinger of Lykens RD1; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two brothers, LeRoy Bower and Clarence Bower, both of Dornsife; and two sisters, Goldie Kieffer of York and Mary Schrauder of Millersburg.
A brother and a sister preceded her in death.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Robert Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton, by the Rev. Robert Kerchoff. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
