  Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon for William Francis Schwartz, 82, lifelong Hegins resident and retired farmer who died at his home Thursday morning. Services will be at Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. Interment in Friedens Union Cemetery.

  Born in Hegins Twp. on Dec. 22, 1877, Mr. Schwartz was a son of the late Augustus and Harriet (Bonner) Schwartz.
  His late wife, Maudie (Stutzman) Schwartz, died in 1957.
  Surviving are the following children: William H. Schwartz Jr., Mrs. Harl Huntzinger, Mrs. Daniel Herb and Mrs. Ray Coleman, all of Hegins; Robert Schwartz, Gratz; and Mrs. Abe Markowitz, Philadelphia; a sister, Mrs. Daniel Reismiller, Reading; 30 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
  Mr. Schwartz had been a lifelong member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, and a fraternal member of Junior United American Mechanics.
