    Joseph Bixler Dies In Hegins Township Home
    Joseph Bixler, 60, died of a heart ailment Thursday evening at his home in Hegins Township.
    A native of Hegins, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bixler.
    In addition to his wife, the former Mabel Morgan, Mr. Bixler is survived by five children, Mrs. Frank Smeltz, Elizabethville; Marlin Bixler, and Mrs. Joseph Deibert, Valley View; Mrs. Homer Morgan and Herman Bixler, Tower City; two brothers, Charles and Harvey Bixler, Valley View; and four sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Hentz and Mrs. Arthur Clouser, Hegins; and Mrs. Edwin Harvey and Mrs. Bertha Richards, Valley View.
    After funeral services at 10 a m. Tuesday in the Buffington funeral home at Valley View, further rites will be held in the Valley View United Brethren church and interment will be in the parish cemetery.

    Mrs. Joseph Bixler
    Mrs. Joseph Bixler, 70, of Valley View, died late Wednesday morning at Schuylkill County Hospital, Schuylkill Haven. She had been admitted to the Institution on May 31.
    A native of Hegins Township, the former Mabel Bessie Morzan, Mrs. Bixler was a daughter of the late Paul and Magdelina Bixler Morgan. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1948. Mrs. Bixler was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Valley View.
    Surviving are two sons: Marlin, Valley View; Herman, of Lykens R. D; , three daughters: Mrs. Frank Smeltz, of Elizabethville R. D; Mrs. Homer Morgan, of Hegins, R. D; Mrs. Joseph Deibert, Valley View; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral on Saturday afternoon from Evangelical United Brethren Church. Rev. C. R. Swartz, pastor, will officiate. Interment in the United Brethren Cemetery, Valley View.
    Buffington Funeral Service, Valley View has charge.
