  Gladys I. Rothermel, age 84, of 428 Berrysburg Road passed away on Saturday, March 12 at her residence. She was born in Rife, PA, the daughter of the late Irvin and Mildred Forney Shiffer. She was retired from the former Johnson-Bailee shoe factory and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Rife.
  She was the widow of D. Frank Rothermel. Surviving are three sons, Richard C. Rothermel and his wife, Barbara of Millersburg and Ronald L., and his wife, Roberta, of Millersburg, Robert and his wife, Debra of Loysville; a daughter, Diane Stoneroad and her husband, Darryl of Millersburg; four siblings, Irvin C. Shiffer of Millersburg, Edna Mae Bonawitz of Halifax, Cloyd Shiffer of Wilson, NC, Betty Matter of Millersburg; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
  Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, March 17 at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church in Rife. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family in the church cemetery.

Kenneth was retired from Chromalloy in Harrisburg and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Union St., Millersburg, PA. Surviving are his loving wife, Mildred M. Rothermel; their children, Kerry Rothermel Sr., Karen (Skip) Herman, Darla (Mike) Shaffer, Darin (Mary) Evans and Tami (Mark) Heintzelman; their grandchildren, Tracy, Cory, Kerry, Jr., Tiffany, Chad, Patti, Charles, Michael, William, Stephen, Taneile, Brooke, Kylie, Steve, Simon, and Stacy; numerous great-grandchildren; and great great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Daniel (Nick) Rothermel, Wayne (Butch) Rothermel, and Lamar Rothermel; sisters, Mildred Fulkroad and Fern Donmoyer; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce; his son, Kenneth, Jr; and granddaughter, Makelle Evans. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.   He was born on November 5, 1950 in Millersburg, PA the son of the late Kenneth Rothermel, Sr. and Joyce (Sheesley) Rothermel.
  Kerry was husband of Carla A. Hoke.
  He retired as a Laborer. He was a drummer and was in many Drum Corps groups, and played with Diablo and the Vagabonds to name a few.
  Kerry enlisted in the Army and served from 1972 to 1975 in Arizona and was released from active duty from Fort Leavenworth, KS.
  In addition to Carla his is survived by his son Kerry Rothermel, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Elizabethville, a daughter Tiffany Paul and her husband Cliff of Halifax, son Chad Rothermel and his wife Missy of Millersburg, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Ashley, Abby, Claire, Carter, and one great granddaughter Lily, a niece Tracy Barcavage, and a nephew Kory Rothermel, uncles Wayne & Lamar Rothermel, and aunts Mildred Fulkroad and Fern Donmoyer.
  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Rothermel, Jr., and a sister Barbara Rothermel.
  There will be a graveside service with military honors at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
