He was STG3 Sonar Tech. in the US Navy from 1969-1973 on the Ship the Harry E. Yarnell. He could always be seen on the sidelines of his daughters' sports teams from elementary through high school, barely missing a game, even though he had 4 daughters eaching playing on 4 different teams. Al loved his family, fishing and crabbing, his camping friends, bowling every Thursday with his wife and spending time at his summer home with his shore family, at Echo Farms. He could always be seen helping someone at the campground with his big smiles. At home, you could often find Al working outside in his workshop, most recently making his granddaughter a beautiful doll house for Christmas. He loved woodworking, although sometimes the power tools did not love him back... having multiple issues with his fingers and the power tools. Al will be remembered as being a wonderful husband, an amazing father, and a great friend to many, but most of all he was the best Pop Pop!!!
