    Henry Carl, 47, passed away at his home in Barry Township, following a brief illness.
    He was born June 28, 1888, a son of Moses and Esther Carl, and was affiliated with the Church of God of Barry Township.
    Surviving are his wife and the following children: Mrs. Allen Klinger, Mrs. Wlliam Lucas of Barry Township; Tittlie, Percy, Betty, Lewis Deiter, Gloria and Thomas at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Samuel Carl of Minersville; Moses, Daniel and George of Barry Townahip; Mrs. William Hepler of Hepler, near Mahantong.
    His funeral will take place Wednesday morning, with H. E. Miller of Valley View, the funeral director in charge.

    Mrs Katie Jane Carl, 64, widow of Henry Carl, Barry Township, died at the Ashland State Hosipital, Wednesday. She was admitted as a medical patient Feb. 1.
    Mrs. Carl was born in Barry Township, Aug. 25, 1896, a daughter of the late Harry and Jesta Rissinger Facer.
    Surviving are the following children, Mrs. William Lucas, Joliett; Edward, Lewis and Mrs. Mrs James Stine, all of Lavelle; Percy and Thomas of Hegins R.D.2; Mrs. John Sankus, Philadelphia; Mrs. Charles Morgan Hegins R.D.1; Mrs. George Kukuk. Ashland R.D; 59 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and also these half-brothers and half-sisters, Mrs Daniel Troup, Mrs. Russel Klinger, both of Ashland R.D; William Carl, Mrs. Robert Maurer, Pitman R.D; Mrs. Francis Kehler, Hegins R.D. 2; George Facer, Shamokin R.D; Russel Facer and Edward Facer, both of State College; William Facer, of Allentown.
    She was a member of Church of God at Weishample. Funeral services will be held at the Church of God, Weishample on Saturday. Rev. Charles Wolfgang, of Helfenstein, and Rev. C. R. Swartz, Valley View, will officiate. Burial in the Church of God Cemetery, Weishample. The Buffington Funeral Home of Valley View, is in charge.
