Kenneth A. Reed
Mr. Kenneth A. Reed, age 66, of Lykens, PA, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA. Mr. Reed was born in Lykens Twp., PA, on May 7, 1939, the son of the late Albert Ray and Laura Evelyn (Troutman) Reed.
He worked as a Machinist at Rife & Nestor Tool Works in Millersburg. He was a member of Hoffman's St. Peters U.C.C. Church, Lykens, PA. He was a graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School, Class of 1957.
He was the husband of Linda L. (Whitcomb) Reed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Lynn Reed of Wiconisco, Douglas Reed of Halifax, and Gregory Reed of Lykens; daughter, Cheryl Ann Reed of Lykens; brother, James of Elizabethville; sisters Lucille Leer of Dillsburg, Betty Leitzel of Gratz, Barbara Burke of Tioga, NY, and Mary Ann Fetterolf of Halifax; and 5 grandchildren.
Religious service will be held at Hoffman's St. Peter's U.C.C. Lykens, PA at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 9th, with Rev. Jeffery Wagner officiat - ing. Interment in Hoffman's St. Peter's U.C.C. Cemetery, Lykens, PA. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ, South Crossroads, Lykens, PA 17048.

Patricia D. Ludwig, 75, of Lucas Lane, Ashland, passed away with her family by her side, October 14, 2022, at her residence. Born in Fearnot, PA on July 12, 1947, she was the daughter of the late William and Wrela V. Hornberger Klinger. She graduated from Tri-Valley High School in 1965, and went on to earn certifications in Accounting - Bookkeeping, and as a Nursing Assistant and Medical Secretary. Pat spent her whole life caring for and serving the youth of the local community. She began her career with the Pennsylvania Office of Children and Youth in Harrisburg. In 1974, she started working in the Tri-Valley School District as a Cafeteria Worker, later becoming the Assistant Office Administrator and Supervisor for district food services. During that period, she also served on the Executive Board of the Barry Elementary School Parent Teacher Association as President and Treasurer. She was a Cub Scout leader for many years and served on several church committees as a member of Barry Salem United Methodist Church. Pat loved to travel and spent much of her free time crafting, cooking, and camping.

Walter Junior Sierer of Lykens, Pa. passed away Wednesday June 14, 2017 at home. He was born August 28, 1923 at Wiconisco, Pa. to the late Walter and Elizabeth Williams Sierer.
Walter was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a graduate of the former Wiconisco High School Class of 1941, Past Master of Ashlar Lodge 570 F&AM of Lykens, Co-Founder of the former Lykens & Wiconisco Ambulance Association, member of St. Christopher Lutheran Church, Lykens, former member of Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 of Lykens and Life Member of Diamond Jubilee Post 2385 of Gratz, Pa. He enjoyed woodworking and golf and was a loving husband, dad and grandfather.
Walter is survived by his wife of 69 years Mildred L. Wiest Sierer, daughters Beth and husband Dennis Istre, Pam and husband Randy Wilbert, grandchildren Dennis Jr., Adam, Brett and Bryan, Great grandchildren Kayla, Taylor, Emily, Ella, Cody, Liam and Ryan Walter, a brother Robert Sierer and a sister Helen Gunderman.
Graveside services will be held at Grandview Cemetery, Pillow, Pa. Saturday June 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with John Forney officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Walter's home at 622 Main St., Lykens, Pa. John R. Shultz Funeral Home Lykens has been entrusted with the arrangements.
