    MILLERSBURG - Mildred P. Fulkroad, 97, a resident at the Manor at Susquehanna Village and formerly of State St. passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the Manor.
    She was born in Mandata, PA, daughter of the late Calvin and Minnie Mattern Harris.
    She was a member of David's Community Bible Church in Killinger where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years; a member of the Lykens Valley Garden Club; Millersburg Art Assoc; OES Glen Chapter #425 where she was a past worthy matron; and the Community Grange.
    She was the widow of Leroy "Toot" Fulkroad and also preceded in death by a son, Ivan Fulkroad and a granddaughter, Debra Piscioneri.
    Surviving are four daughters, Mae Homer widow of Harold Homer of Mechanicsburg, Pauline Klinger and her husband Donald of Winter Haven, FL, June Walter and her husband Robert and Dharla Maiden and her husband Terry, both of Millersburg; a brother, William Harris of Dornsife; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
    Services will be held at David's Community Bible Church in Killinger on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 11:30 AM with Rev. Gary Becker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 10:30-11:30 AM Thursday at the church.

    Born August 15, 1946 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Vernon H. Goodling and Betty Jane (Bachtell) Goodling.
    He served in the US Army from 1965 through 1972 with three tours in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the Millersburg Fire Department with over 40 years of service. During that time he served in various roles that included Assistant Chief, Trustee, Firefighter, and Driver/Operator.
    He was preceded in death by his wife of 16 years, Terry L. (Walborn) Bachtell.
    He is survived by one daughter, Brenda Walborn Maslin (Don) of Chenango Forks NY; three sons, Jack R. Bachtell, Jr (PA), Ronald Bachtell of Chenango Forks, NY, and Levi Bachtell (FL); his longtime companion Dorothy Farran of Millersburg, PA; and her children Sharon Peyton (MD), Margaret Engle (Chad) of Halifax, PA and preceded by her son Norman; one brother, Lonnie A. Goodling of New Cumberland, PA and one sister Debra M. Goodling Jones of Waynesboro, PA; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

    Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 8, 2014, in the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Inc., Millersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Cemetery, Halifax, PA.
    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Millersburg Volunteer Fire Department, in Millersburg, PA.

    LYKENS - Gilbert C. "Zeke" Fenstermacher, age 97, of Lykens, died December 28, 2023, at Northern Dauphin Nursing Home, Millersburg.
    He was born on September 9, 1926 in Dalmatia, PA the son of the late Clinton A. Fenstermacher and Catherine E. (Zerbe) Fenstermacher.
    Gilbert was married to Cordelia A. "Dolly" (Willier) Fenstermacher for 68 years.
    He retired as machine operator from Brubaker Tool, Millersburg.
    Gilbert enlisted in the U.S. Marines and served during WWII, and served in the Pacific and was awarded the Purple Heart.
    Gilbert was a member of the Lower Mahanoy Fire Company, the Gratz VFW, and was a member of the American Legion, Dalmatia for 78 continuous years.
    In addition to his wife Dolly Fenstermacher, he is survived by his two sons Robert Fenstermacher (Susan Spoon) of Denton, NC, and Rodney Fenstermacher of Lykens, PA, two grandsons Shawn Fenstermacher (Hope), and Ryan Fenstermacher, two great granddaughters Kayla and Madisyn Fenstermacher.
    He was preceded in death by sisters Jean Maurer and Shirley Straub.
    Services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial at Dalmatia Cemetery.
    The family requests that memorial donations may be made to American Legion Post 504, 4092 State Route 147, Herndon, PA.

    She is also survived by a son, Kirby C Huntsinger and his wife Heather of Bellefonte; a daughter, Kari L King and her husband Kevin of New Cumberland; four grandchildren, Julia Huntsinger, Brennan Huntsinger, Carson King, and Caroline King; a brother, Randy Wedde of Camp Hill; a sister, Peggy Snyder and her husband Russell of Elizabethville; two step sisters, Rose Huntzinger of Lititz and Molly Masser of Mechanicsburg; her mother in law Lucille Huntsinger of Loyalton; a brother in law, Eric Huntsinger of Valley View; three aunts, Christine Gessner and her husband Jim of Leck Kill; Margaret Mitchell and her husband Edward of Ashland, and Annetta Troup and her husband Wayne of Ashland; a niece, Hilary Snyder of Germantown, MD; and several cousins.
    As per Barbara's wishes there will be no services.
