November 16, 1940 - June 15, 2025
Inez M. Boyer, 84, of Dalmatia, passed away on June 15, 2025, at her home. She was born in Lewis Township, Northumberland County on November 16, 1940, a daughter of the late Mary Edna and W. Grant Crawford. Inez was co-owner of the Cove Restaurant in Millersburg for over 20 years, and work at Johnson Bailey Shoe Company and was a Teacher's Aide and Cafeteria Aide at Halifax School District.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Rife and Cheerful Worker and was a Past Matron of the Glen Chapter #425, Order of the Eastern Star. Inez enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, loved baking and was an avid reader.
Inez is survived by her three sons, Thomas (Sue) Dyer of Millersburg, Brian Dyer of Turbotville, Todd (Tina) Boyer of Millersburg; six grandsons, Jordan (Melissa) Dyer, David Boyer, Tristan (Brianna) Dyer, Brandon (Jade) Boyer, Kyle Dyer, Dalton (Maddie) Messner; two granddaughters, Ashley Dyer, Kami (Tyler) Lahr; fifteen great-grandchildren, Blake, Kyra, Ambria, Logan, Alyciea, Kaydia, Spencer, Reid, Leah, Kasen, Alayna, River, Layla, Rheny, Demetrius; three sisters, Ruth Catherman, Barbara (Gean) Robbins, Gloria (Thomas) McClintock; brother, Robert (Beverly) Crawford and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry F. Boyer in 2023; brothers, Melvin, Paul and William Crawford; sisters, Betty Deitrich, Edna Hill, Doris Smith.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am also from the Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the Rickard Memorial Cemetery, Paxton.

Mrs. Emma Schmeltz
Mrs. Emma Schmeltz, 52, a native of Valley View, died at her home in that place, Saturday afternoon at 5:20 o'clock, death having been caused by heart disease and complications. She is survived by her husband, Monroe Schmeltz and the following children: Mrs. Lillie Harner, Tremont; Mrs. Mable Schlegel, Good Spring, and Allen Schmeltz, Valley View. Six grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services from the home with further services in Trinity Lutheran church were held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, with burial made in the Lutheran cemetery.
