• At Nellie's request, her daughter Pauline gave Nellie's date of birth as 4 Oct 1901 for her tombstone and death certificate. Her Social Security records list the date of birth as 4 October 1900, but the correct date was 4 October 1894.⁵

Edward's Mother was born in Missouri. Their household included a "daughter" named Jean Schoening, born c. January, 1930. Her father was born in Germany, suggesting that she was not the child of Edward Gibbs but a relative (but not a daughter) of Olga.^4,3

  Margaret "Jean" Christensen, 73, of Council Bluffs died Jan. 21 at home.
  She retired in 1981 after more than 20 years with First National Bank. She belonged to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
  Mrs. Christensen and her husband, Howard Christensen, were married 49 1/2 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth.
  Survivors in addition to her husband include her son, Chris Christensen, of Council Bluffs; grandson, Brian Christensen, of Council Bluffs; nieces; nephews, brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; other family and friends.
  The body was cremated; there will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jon Kosec officiating. McCurdy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
  Memorials may be offered to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or the family.
