    DORNSIFE, RR - Elsie L. Rothermel, 86, died August 27 at The Manor at Susquehanna Village of Millersburg.
    Born April 21,1919 in Gratz, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Katie Hartman Scheib.
    She was employed at the Millersburg Shoe Factory and retired from the Spread Eagle Farms of Klingerstown.
    She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Erdman, where she was a former church council member and a member of the Rainbow Class.
    She also was a member of the Good Sam Club, Line Mountain Chapter No. 31.
    She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor Rothermel; a sister, Nancy Scheib; and two brothers, Arlan and Michael Scheib.
    Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Nevin C. Rothermel; two sons, Dennis Rothermel of Macungie and Marlin Rothermel of Dornsife RR; a daughter, Suzanne Snyder of Leck Kill; two sisters, Effie Troutman of Dornsife RD and Mollie Rebuck of Gratz; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held Wednesday, August 31 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Erdman. Viewing will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

    The Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.3
