    READING - Mae L. Mantz, 84, of 116 Rosemont Ave. for the past nine months, formerly of Oakpark, RR2 Northumberland, died at 2:05 p.m. Friday, March 6, 1998, at Reading Hospital.
    She was born April 23, 1913, in Gratz, a daughter of the late Walter and Almeda (Heim) Daniels. She married Ray F. Mantz, who died Feb. 10, 1990.
    Mrs. Mantz owned and operated Mae's Luncheonette, Sunbury, before retiring, and was formerly employed by Leiby's Restaurant, Sunbury.
    Surviving are one daughter, June A. Bixler of Reading, with whom she lived; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Molly Gautsch of Bradenton, Fla., and Layomia Hornberger of Berwick.
    She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
    A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury, by the Rev. Joseph Lingenfelter, pastor of First Reformed United Church of Christ.
    There will be no viewing.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
    Funeral arrangements were by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.
