DALMATIA - Kenneth "Junior" Kissinger, 76, of RR1 Dalmatia died Tuesday morning, Oct. 12, 2004, at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 29, 1927, in RR1 Herndon, the son of the late Homer E. and Pearl A. (Witmer) Kissinger. On Nov. 12, 1946, in Herndon, he married the former June T. Lesher, who survives.
Kenneth attended Herndon schools.
He served in the Navy during World War II from 1945 to 1947.
Mr. Kissinger retired as a machinist from TRW-Chromalloy in Harrisburg.
He was Lutheran.
Kenneth was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Gratz, and the Herndon Fire Company. He was also a member of Alvin E. Long American Legion Post 504, Mandata, the Dalmatia Fire Company and the Erdman Sportsman's Association.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Wayne C. Kissinger of Maroa, Ill., and Tracy S. Kissinger and his wife, Robin, of Dalmatia; three daughters, Verlee A. and her husband, Roddy Acker, and Twilia A. and her husband, Ronald Cameron, all of Dalmatia, and Lori J. Billow of Herndon; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Hoffman of Herndon and Phyllis Boyer Shaffer of Millersburg.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Lydic.
Friends and relatives may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, where the funeral will follow at 11 with Chaplain James R. Taylor of SUN Home Hospice officiating.
Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
