MILLERSBURG - Leo A. Umholtz, 95, of North Street, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was born Tuesday, November 12, 1912 in Gratz, son of the late Harry and Minnie (Stahl) Umholtz.
He was a retired Machinist for TRW, Harrisburg; was a member of Peace UCC, Berrysburg; Elizabethville Senior Citizens Group and the TRW Pioneer Club. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and woodworking.
He was the widower of Ruth L. (Deibert) Umholtz.
Surviving are son, Dale, husband of Elma Umholtz of Mt Joy; son, Richard, husband of Vivian Umholtz of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Diane, wife of Ernest Schreffler of Halifax; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Wingert and Brother, Lester Umholtz.
Services will be held at Peace UCC, Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jeff Wagner officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville. Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Monday, May 5 at the church.
Contributions may be made to Peace UCC, Corner of 2nd and Chestnut Street, Berrysburg, PA 17005.
